World owners can kick people for any or no reason. Yes, a global ban is a jerk thing to do, but it isn't against the rules. If someone wants to use this bot and use a global ban list (which I don't advocate) then that's their prerogative.

Just to let you know (it sounds like you may not) the bot fetches a list of people that Benidani has banned, so its not configurable by the users, just them. (This means that if you are banned by them, then, even if against the bot user's will, they will be banned from every world any copy of the bot is in)

It's ultimately their decision whether to use the software.

It'd certainly warrant concerns if there were malicious functionalities that impacted the game servers or players in general, but as it stands it's not explicitly malicious in the conventional malware sense; annoying perhaps, but that's about it.
I'd assume if they discovered that their bot is kicking people they hadn't chosen to, they'd take the appropriate and intelligent decision to cease using the software. If not, well, perhaps they aren't very smart to begin with and, by virtue of using the software, might invite more 'trolls' and people who are 'offensive against' EBE. Whatever that means.

Unfortunately, you can't effectively prevent stupid people from being stupid, they'll always out-stupid you.

My Opinion:
If you really have no other choice, if this bot offers a feature you desperately need, go for it. However, take note of the fact that the bot maker can choose who (s)he wants to ban at will, and hardcodes themselves as admin ( you become subject to their opinion! ). However, this is a bot made for two playerio games ( EE and EBE ), so that's quite interesting. It also uses EEPhysics, which should make it better at handling calculations and such. Also a nice touch to show CPU/RAM ( thoughtfulness by the bot creator ). However, for the offense on user free-will, personally I'd boycott it by not using it.

Why do you attack him from using try catches, when you have always used it in all your old bots. Karma or what?

I 100% agree with this; I just want everyone to be aware of his practices and how he is using his bot in an attempt to have as much control over others as possible.

If I did I'd be kicked immediately anyway, and it's not like I actually know each world that uses his bot. If I'm suddenly barred from my friend's world, what am I to say? Uninstall the bot? Where are you when Kira is attacking how the staff does something? Where were you when jawapa criticized the staff in such a way it was almost hypocritical (assuming you believe he stole gems)? I don't recall seeing you making a post on the hypo-criticality of either such things.
Of course I point out the try catches because that's what everybody else yelled at me for constantly - and still are ( apparently ).
I'm just simply pointing out an excessive use of try-catches ( decompile the code, you'll see it yourself ). If you disagree with me doing such a thing, name a compromise.

hey, I think this thread has devolved from "hey is this guy IP banning? is a global ban OK?" to "hey I don't like your list of cool people"

A) I'd love to discuss the merit of try/catch blocks but that's rather off-topic here. And we've done that like three times before
B) Is a CPU/RAM "counter" a good idea at all? I mean a finished product should have those limits in mind for the user but the OS has final say on how everything congeals
C) There's a lot of personal attacking going on which isn't so great
D) a mod responded to the general "a widely-used ban list is bad" concept so I guess that wraps that up
