Yep. People are mean and rude.
I'm not sure why. Reasons could be... It's the internet, people here are young, dumb, maybe aren't aware they are being complete **** to one another. Or are being **** on purpose for their personal amusement or something, idk.
This is a kick message my little sister got when she was playing:
My sister didn't understand why she couldn't play anymore suddenly and called me to translate to her what it said. 
This happened months ago btw.
