I dont get it...

If you are in the southern hemisphere there wouldnt be any snow at all, and if you're in the northern hemisphere winter has only just started

So either no snow at all or snow until february?

By connecting to anything on the internet you are already giving away your IP which can be used to rougly locate you on the earth so I think that's not a real problem.
(Unless you use some kind of vpn and that kind of stuff.)

Oorrr, we just make it random and make a button with "complain about wrong weather forecast" on it. When clicked it shows a popup box that says: "Oops, we will get it good next time!"
