Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

why do people make more useless words that mean the same thing as-

somthing else. i have noticed a really bad thing that is happening, people keep making new words that are useless or have the meaning of another word, LIKE what the point of making more words

for it when you only need 1 word that is the same as it and means the same thing and isnt cool or better, it really anoyys me to see these words like ree, kek, kok, bree, and more words that are

being made 2017 into the future, why are people making more words that we don't need?

if you know what i am talking about?, i can explain more about what i am saying etc

also here is a link to see what i am trying to explain http://www.cracked.com/blog/6-words-mad … to-accept/

AMEN, BROTHER! "Kek" is simply a translated form of "lol" that only makes sense in its original World of Warcraft context. Down with kek!

I support the creation of new words. There are a lot of words that don't exist in English that would help to describe so many things we English speakers could never talk about, because we don't know how to. "Toska" is a word originating from Russia, which roughly translates to depression, but just the word 'depression' is not enough to reveal all the dark shades of Toska. To be more accurate, toska is that feeling you get when your soul is empty, you have a lack of purpose, etc. It's so much simpler to say 'I feel toska', or just 'toska', than to say "My soul feels really empty and I feel like my purpose and drive in life have squandered like the bleak light at the bottom section of wic as it sits in a pool of melted wax"

Kek is a translation of lol, but it's becoming a colloquialism of the people who play or follow that game, or for some, they say it based off of preference. Ever since I passed College Spanish 102 last year, I've never again said the word "bye" in an unironic tone. I say "adios" because I prefer to say adios, even though it's just "bye" in Spanish. I would ask that you leave "adios" alone, and I would also ask that you leave kek alone, too.

EDIT: I'd highly suggest you read George Orwell's 1984. Written in the 1940's, it depicted a bleak future of the victorious allies, who thought that simplifying language and everything about human life, "dimming it down", would help to prevent future wars. They have thought police that arrest people for an array of crimes, having sex for any reason other than procreation, not conforming to language ideals, etc. "Bad" is literally not a word in the construct language that exists in that book. Instead of "terrible" you say "double plus ungood" because it means literally the exact same thing.

Needless to say, it's a dystopian novel ran under a clear dictatorship, which silences its opponents by preventing them from using their own language conformations.

So in other words, "**** you I'll talk in whatever way I want. You don't control me."

most of these "new words" in that article you posted are just people misspelling/misunderstanding words. they aren't new words at all.

also, "ruthful" is (was) actually a thing: https://www.quora.com/Why-is-it-that-pe … srid=3JNzw
yes i realize the article says it's actually a thing but i just wanted to say it's "ruthful" not "ruthfull" and it shouldn't be on the list

Re: why do people make more useless words that mean the same thing as-

first of all, that's a comedy article about people mispronouncing words.

secondly...

different words have different connotation. language literally dictates thought. how can you describe something you don't have the word for? i could say "physically attractive" or i could say handsome, cute, sexy, beautiful, breathtaking, awe-inspiring, heart-melting, adorable (all of which describe processor). they all mean different things and have different nuances.

can't say YOUR PRESIDENT IS **** AND SUCKS if the worst u have is "not good" with a modifier that's akin to "very very not good" ("not good" doesn't necessarily mean "bad" either tho.)
i more or less have an essay i did in like 2015 on this exact subject on how language can dictate thought

in, for example, german, the word for "bridge" is feminine (because gendered languages); when describing them they'd use "traditionally feminine" words such as "beautiful". in some other language "bridge" was masculine so they'd say stuff like "sturdy" (https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/cu … it-matters) (though that's specifically about gender. man i'm glad english doesn't have grammatical gender. how useless. where did it even come from? man i wish i hadn't dropped outta college right about now)

it changed how they thought of something as simple as a bridge.

we don't need a lot of things, but it sure is fun to have 'em!

i mean, hell, people literally come up with whole new languages for fun //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/big_smile

all words came from somewhere; shakespeare himself invented several

Giving it some more thought, it seems the words soniiiety mentions are brospeak terms often used online. While I don't like them, I can see why somebody might want to use them.

I think few words are totally identical in meaning. If that idea were true, then a person using a thesaurus on every word in a sentence would just sound smarter, not idiotic. relevant humor

there are nuances per situation (slang versus not), formality, whether its archaic , etc.

How-diddly, the mock slanger on the gizmoticus fails to slip me a new one. The billboard parsley whiffles an underagreement in which my corpunctus jar-full-of-bees-on-steam. Newfangled dictorts rely on the mezzling hat-sat of low intellegentsias, or faux hipsters who want to "free the prawns". Set the net, and Jingus shall five-o the atheism of this stew.

In zepto, lexes are not redancular. Jupiter zoops and fries the monkey out of the bin, therefore this bookchop is entirely klapantine.
