Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Instead of using WASD can we just type in /w, /a, /s, or /d in chat? It will help us type faster eventually and get us prepared for coding. I think this idea fits with the general programming community of EE. for example you type in /w 2, /a 34, /s 1, /d 44 to go left 2 tiles, up 34 tiles, down 1 tile, right 44 tiles.
Thoughts? Woots please?
is this advanced **** or an actual suggestion?

What about /move x y xs ys xm ym xd yd g sp spj tick

good suggest
can we also have negatives
/w -5 - move down 5 blocks
/a -5 - move right 5 blocks
/s -5 - move up 5 blocks
/d -5 - move left 5 blocks
??????
seems very USE

For diagonal movement you don't include a comma between two directional commands. "/w 22 /a 22" will move a player northwest 22 tiles. Adding a comma in between those two will cause a player to go up 22 times, then left 22 times.
what about people who dont know how to use wasd? would you need unicode for arrowkeys??????????
thanks zoey aaaaaaaaaaaand thanks latif for the avatar

what about /wa, /wd, /sa, /sd <x,y>

Nice idea but needs to be more streamlined. We already have Backspace hotkeyed in to /PM <whoever>, so let's hotkey W A S D to /w /a /s /d.

Wait so your saying instead of making it easy and using the WASD keys you have to manually type it in the chat! You may as well just teleport. The only use I can see in this is if ur trying to evenly space blocks apart, but you may as well just teleport.

i am a contractile typist which means i contract when i type so i really like contracting therefore by the law of syllables i really like typing
so your argument is invalidated bc imo typing out wasd keys via backslash letter commands and therefore by the law of sylables it's easier than using my arrow keys
also do you notice things keep going over your head??? play solitaire to imrpove spatial awareness (especially when things keep going over your head (by the law of syllogism of cour))

What if I want curved movement? /d 10 /w x^2 ??
thx for sig bobithan

For curved movement you have to use decimals
What if I want curved movement? /d 10 /w x^2 ??
in that case you may as well define the path of your motion by a function y(x) and then find your movement probably as a function of time but who am I to say?
here we'll set a to the current x pos and b remains unknown. Then we solve this integral so that we have essentially our end point b in terms of the length we want s. The trick will be when you introduce nonelementary functions to integrate.
edit: I suppose for motion we'd have to then just subdivide the interval from A to B by however many frames we care to use... then just plug the x in... and if the command overlaps another then you'd probably need to just overwrite the old path... how would you even consolidate the two? average two points?
edit 2: no we wouldn't subdivide A to B, we'd subdivide L and plug it into our equation to find our endpoint B again nvm.

I am out of this. (also it's too much work)
