Why was this topic locked?
It was provoking nothing but spammy comments and the topic content itself was just a rant that did not pertain to anyone other than the user who wrote it.

Yup! I could speculate about why the topic was locked, but I don't want to do that as I could be wrong about it. Plus, there may be other users who don't know why the topic was locked.

Why were most of the recent "Ask me anything" topics locked?
A few reasons.
First, Questions & Answers is about game-related questions, which is why I kept Xeno and Zoey's topics open.
Second, yes, I could have moved the others to off-topic discussion, but it's similar to "What do you think of me?" topics--we've never allowed people to make individual topics about themselves because it creates a bunch of spam copycat topics (as seen with the surplus of AMA topics you saw earlier).
Third, I posted this in the non-topic worthy discussion thread as a way for people to ask others whatever they want if anyone actually cares.
Also most of the questions asked in those topics were just trolls so

That's what I assumed. If any other user were to post "no" in multiple topics at once it would be considered spam, but apparently it's considered acceptable while locking a topic. Please try to put in more effort in your explanations next time.
