Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

i am going to finish my homework i started 6 hours ago but spent my time doing everything but not my homework. Soon.
I'm going to finish school and have a great life.
I love it when people express depressing thoughts. Keep it up. I love you
is this another lie? I'm hurt
but what else could you expect? the lie to make a person happy has to have a depressing central truth
i won't sleep in until 10am tomorrow

No it wasn't a lie nor sarcasm, I was being serious.

I did it, wow
These are mine:
You're going to put all your focus into your summer project.
You will finish building the world eventually.
You don't have a crush on her.
You'll get into shape in the future.
Keep playing and putting time into EE because one day it will be popular again.
Everything is going to be okay.
You're ugly.
One day you will be able to be yourself.
There is hope for the world becoming a better place.
You won't always be such an introvert.
You'll fall asleep soon.
The reason they invited you to the party was because they wanted you there instead of being out of pity.
You're fat.
No one cares.
You're just remembering it wrong, not changing the story of what happened to make it more interesting.

i hate it. it just makes me sad that people would rather have discussions with strangers who are usually unlikely to help them, than actually do something meaningful towards their self-improvement. i know it can be difficult as ive been there but it just frustrates me.

Doing one thing doesn't mean they won't do the other. If this topic wouldnt exist the people who replied and are really depressed wouldnt seek professional help either. It's nice to have a way to express your depressing thoughts without making people feel uncomfortable about it. Because that;s what would happen if you tell them to people you know.
Also having depressing thoughts doesn't mean the person who has them is depressed. Everyone has depressing thoughts because it's part of life to feel depressed sometimes, yet many people don't want to share these feelings because they arent positive.

true, i just find that their negativity gives the impression that they dont have hope and are therefore faced with a mental block, not allowing them to improve

youre right, i was just using their replies as evidence of this fact. and its not necessarily about getting professional help, im just talking about looking forward and realising that your negative feelings are most likely ****.

pretty sure this is a lie that depressed people tell themselves. this is a pretty negative and depressing thought itself as it suggests that people dont care about you. there are people that do and they would help you (for the most part, at least). its also possible to improve yourself.

eh, maybe. its quite a broad thing to say though. i think its normal to not want to share these feelings, because to me, if i were to share something like that, it would be like submitting to the feeling (though you can vent without doing this). this topic almost encourages people to admit defeat, which is the opposite of a good mindset. you are literally replacing "what do you hope for" with "what lie do you tell yourself". maybe you can change the world. or finish your homework on time. it just takes discipline.
"Ok, ok, relax yourself, Michele. Today was good, but tomorrow it will get better. So please go to sleep for now." This is what my other mind says to myself when I try to sleep.

Don't rely on future or hypothetical cases to be content. Real contentedness comes from accepting life as it is right now, whether it be happy or sad, or good or bad. And that isn't always easy. It's so tempting to complain, but research shows that complaining isn't helpful.
If there's something that brings me fear or anxiety, I find that it's something I need to address and change. Hopefully you can do what I haven't, and face that head on whatever you need to. Challenge yourself, and try new things. I'm not sure if any of that applies to you though.
Your family: Oh wake up it's your first day in school you'll have fun there
You: Yay finally I can't wait to go to school
