Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Do you have any evidence to back up that claim? Or are the game's developers just guilty until proven innocent?

The burden of proof lies with the accuser, even supposing that you could "prove" something as subjective as that.
In this case, it's clear that JamJar is a salty alt of someone like Kira or Insanity, and arguing against his dumb hate isn't worth the time or the effort. Any sane person can see it's untrue.
One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

There's a difference here—I'm assuming a neural point of view, while JamJar is assuming a guilty one. Your argument would work if I accused JamJar of lying.

I think we should find out who this new owner is and warn him to run away as fast as he can.
We can send him (or her, #equality #feminism) this train wreck of a topic as an example of what he'd be getting into...namely,
a tiny but demanding community.

Another two weeks have passed without any changes made. Looks like the administration has resumed updating the flash game and (thus is paying little to no attention to UnitEE again).
Problem is that the new blocks or campaign don't really improve the game in the long term, but they always are pretty good at distracting players from the real lack of progress.
I have never thought of programming for reputation and honor. What I have in my heart must come out. That is the reason why I code.

Honestly, We need to scrap unitEE and go into pure html5. no steam version. As much as i love most of the current dev team (Jesse etc,) from what it seems they have gotten bored of just running the game, we need a new dev team.

Well, this has been going on for years. The addition of campaigns was good, crews are good, and UnitEE would be amazing if it actually happened, but apart from that, I don't think many of the changes made have improved the game in the long term. They just keep adding cool stuff that don't actually mean anything for the game. The fact is, people will always be able to make cool things, even without all these fancy mechanics. Just look at any good old level.
These additions are simply to prevent the game from stagnating, which is fine. But EE suffers from some deeper problems, which have not been dealt with. I feel that the game should feel alive even if there are only a few updates a year, because the game is actually very community-driven. But, there needs to be systems in place in order to support this. For example, the current design of the lobby puts the most populated worlds at the top. This is okay if you just want to socialise with others while playing the game (this probably comes from the original open world/collaborative style of the game), but what if you want to find the highest quality worlds? Then I guess you can sort by likes, but even that will only show you online worlds. Not to mention that likes don't actually make a very good rating system.
Basically, the game needs to make it easy for you to find the worlds that interest you. This can exist in a level library, separate from the lobby. This level library should include all worlds, including offline worlds, with a search system, better rating system with the ability to leave written feedback, and recommendations. This is not a replacement for the lobby, as the lobby retains the social aspect of the game, which is important to its identity as a multiplayer real time editor. There's no point in being real time if all worlds are static. These things will help the game progress towards an ideal situation where you can open up the game and find something fun to play without much difficulty. Anyway, this is just one of the major problems EE has (though it is probably one of the biggest one imo). There's also the fact that it's still running on flash, and all the issues that come with that.

Exactly skullz, it would be foolish to mistake these content updates with actual improvements done on the game.
The variety of blocks is not the problem of this game and adding more of the same thing will not improve anything long term when you already have over 700 blocks.
It seems like the new administration has failed to deliver on its promises and so has atilla on the subject of the "deal" (which does not seem to exist). The future of EE looks dim.
It was obvious that NVD is not fit to run the game, I made my criticism public very early on. "Let's throw away all existing code and start from scratch" is not a powerful vision to have. The lack of direction and planning caused the administration to change their stance multiple times and backtrack on their promises (to rewrite unity, to stop working on the current game, to hire professional developers, to be transparent). Now we're back to where we started, just with an even smaller playerbase and a less competent developer team.
It is also obvious that the new potential owner does not have the necessary experience to handle this game and its community. Not only have they not reached out to the community, we've learned that even the staff does not know much about them. What do they have to hide? At this rate we might never know.

This update is a fairly quick one and doesn't change very much. The next update in the meantime will introduce some new world design features, hopefully it'll be ready by early September.

You're upset that I didn't answer your request to speak to them, since I know what you're like and your intentions to manipulate and raise spurious accusations like you have in this case.

Yes, they do. I've mentioned who I'm speaking to and they can (and have) attested to my statements being correct.
It's in the negotiating and hiring phase, they haven't found any developers to hire yet, and hence there'd be no point in reaching out to the community.
It's still on the table, it isn't finalized. If this doesn't go through, I'll be the first one to let everyone know.
I'm fairly sure there's enough reason to not make revealing statements about who may acquire Everybody Edits, since there's people like yourself who attempt to intervene into processes (no pun intended) which isn't any of their business.
*u stinky*
