Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Although I may be one of the most immature hooligans you have ever met believe it or not im a video game developer, this may come across as outlandish but you may know some of the games I have developed. I have worked on Eyes - the horror game. This is by far the most famous game I have ever created. And I'm proud, but that's just an old piece of work. As a matter of fact it was made entirely on unity, one of my favorite engines to create games. Although it is an unpolished game, to me it marks a level of gratitude. Now this may seem off but I'm here for something different, everybody edits. One of my favorite flash games of all time, or of all games. For years I have watched as this game grew, as the community became more culturally advanced. I had witnessed the birth of a fan base, a community of different individuals with the same interest. This was a fascinating event, and quite a spectacular one too. This was something I wish I could experience with my releases, but I couldn't ever find that. Yet everybody edits did. Now with me saying all this why would you need to now? Well I cherish this game and I want to see it grow, to an extravagant amount. Right now I see slow paced updates and they provide nothing all that great for the user, so I want to change that. I'm looking to help develop this now seven year old flash game, will I be rejected? Yes, most likely. But to me dignity is aside, it's more about completing the task at hand. I have much experience with a game engine like unity so I would enjoy working on a game such as we, so to me it's more of a transition than a haul. I may be an idiot for asking but I want to see a change, not a project, a development. I want to aid this game in many ways, more than anyone else. So please, maybe, JUST MAYBE consider taking to me.
-In case I don't see you... good afternoon, good evening, and good night.
EDIT: This wasn't really an application but you could consider it one, I'm not here to worry about judgment, just work. To me it's about success, but not something like apple. Am I saying you must support me, or just hand ee over? No, I just want a chance to create change, not devastation.

I doubt you'll get accepted anytime soon, since the vast majority of the staff members for years now seem to be friends or relatives of other staff members. I respect your desire to help the game, though! I hope you get accepted, and if you do, I also hope that Everybody Edits progress will go just a little bit quicker.

Well, it certainly won't go unnoticed considering the administration is seeking progress and prioritizing towards it.
Thanks for offering your support.

Maybe get in touch and become friends with the staff? That'll increase the chance of you getting on the team.

Most of the Staff are of the "easygoing chill" archetype which medeia doesn't fit into. Not that there's anything wrong with that.

That sounds scummy but logical at the same time, Primarily I'm looking to put Ee in a suitable situation. Such as changing the moderation, developers, updates, and the now dying community. All in all a complete fix on this split game, I just see so much potential, but its be squandered on.

So you want to "manage" the game?
like what nou did, though many people disliked him.

That really sums it up, like ownership. That may seem far for someone like me, but I can't stand this ongoing death of ee.

I'd think progress would go faster with two owners, so...

I don't think two owners would really help, you would probably end up with disagreements and without somebody who has the final say, that would be a problem...
I don't think the game would just be handed to you either, that's why Nou handed it back to NVD, just picking a new owner is a risky choice, and there have been multiple bad decisions in the past.
You best chance would probably be at being a developer (and maybe even lead developer in Unity) but even then, the staff don't usually just accept people they don't know much about, and may not work well with.

I know it's a stretch, but to me this game has so much wasted potential that I would like to pick up on.

I believe in you, but you're certainly not gonna be owner right away. Start with joining as a developer, then perhaps you'll be allowed to take a more leading role in the unitEE development. To me, you then have enough power to make a big impact, but maybe it could eventually lead to you becoming owner if that's your goal.
thx for sig bobithan

Why did you post this on the forums instead of PMing Nou directly? Given that applying to the community seems to instantly override any official decisions, it's not the most honourable thing to do.
EDIT: I meant NVD.
One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

Because Nou quit.

1. Learn to email or pm
2. Do not describe yourself in the negative light, especially from the get-go. Admitting anything bad does not make you appear better...
3. Provide sources. Link to your game and maybe explain what exactly you did for the project?
What I got from this is you're "immature" and you "have much experience with a game engine like unity" mixed in some story about how ee is your waifu. At least you showed you care. Wouldn't hire ya personally but I can't speak for the staff.

You made Eyes? Woah!! =O The world is a small place
In case noone knows, Eyes has over 10 million downloads.

If you only say good things about yourself, it may deceive other people. I'd rather people have a mixed first impression about me than to be disappointed later on. Then again I've never applied to a job so my opinion on that may change.

I wouldn't call EE a formal business but some job interviews may ask a question like "what is your biggest flaw/weakness?". Of course no one wants to hear that you are perfect. They want to see you being honest and more importantly that you are determined to improve and are currently trying so. There's a good reason that people have created a resume template.

Well, to be clear you're definitely not going to gain ownership of the game.

You know I'm actually down to have this person as a developer.
I wouldn't be against them as a developer, but they'd have to lose the "I want to control everything!" aspiration.

I can't say I'd be too comfortable if they controlled everything, which, I honestly don't think is likely to happen, but who knows, med might me considered for dev.
