this was changed a while ago. since it's in bug reports, i guess it can be assumed that wooting a post means that someone also experienced (or reported) that bug. It probably shouldn't apply to posts after the first one, though

so a while ago some guy suggested that "wooted by" didn't make sense in bug reports, because why would you woot bugs? it made more sense to have "reported by". therefore, that's what we have now

only exists in bug reports btw, and yes it was intentional

If that's the case, it's incredibly misleading as reports are already a thing. Why not just have woots?

Or at least change it to "Also experienced by"

well actually we don't like to assign gender labels to our automated post-specific feedback solution.

Pretty sure we switched to "flag" because we still want people to "flag" topics that need to be removed. Apparently "report" is too deterring because it suggests wrongdoing

The javascript on the page still supports the default. When you're the first to woot, the page generates the "Wooted by" bar by itself. It hasn't been told to use any other message.

The rest came from the server, which are told (based on subforum) which text to use.
