Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I live in Austin, TX and I don't believe in Winter. It's literally 82°F (28°C) here. This is ridiculous someone help. Anyone else in the South experience this? If you're in the Southern Hemisphere I know it's summer go away

well I got snow earlier in the season
but frankly this year was the hottest christmas I've ever experienced.
HOWEVER, if we keep in mind that winter isn't defined as some limit to reach, but a comparative decrease in temperature, then there certainly is a marked period if colder temperatures.
are you suggesting your summertime temperatures were previously like 60s or something

No our summers are like in the 100s but this is the warmest Christmas I think I've ever experienced

Also proper winter is in Jan/Feb, not December.
One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

do you mean "winter proper"?
I mean the temperature usually reaches its expected drop here before december. plus, winter starts on the day that days start getting longer. where's the logic in that? "start the coldest season" precisely when "days get longer?" (I associate longer days with warmer days, naturally that's not a direct relation but you get the drift)

I never thought Bill Nye quit his job

It should be summer but it seems they opened the gates of Hell instead

Well my christmas was 36C (like 97F) but that's expected here.
I've also never seen snow here in Melbourne.
Winter here is basically days where it's like 10C on a really cold day
Down here on lamemania island it's been pretty cool, was hot the last two days though. I've seen snow once.

I know the OP said "no southern hemisphere complaining pls" but it got to mother-of-God-ing 42º C here today, the highest temperature recorded in my city for like tons of decades
And yet some say "muh global warming doesn't exist"

Yeah, folks do that when it gets really cold
then someone says "but global warming is a misnomer, it's actually climate change and for some areas simply results in colder winters and warmer summers"
whatever the theories are, they have to certainly be more expansive than what the general populace considers necessary to think about, otherwise we wouldn't have these two-liner arguments

Oh right, I forgot about the whole "climate change" and not "global warming" thing. There's probably tons of technical studies on it that us 10-to-20-year-olds on a game forum wouldn't really understand a thing... but I just said that to make my complaining about the hot weather less off-topic. The thermal sensation was something like 55º C (~130F), Jesus Christ I was sweating just writing that post before
Also to make this post less off-topic too it technically it snows here in my state in Brazil; in some regions it happens a few days per year, others like once every 150 years. Never usually gets lower than 5º C in the winter, though, Brazilians from other places like Rio de Janeiro would be freezing here anyway

Idk how its in the Southern Hemisphere but here its how winter looks in Romania.
The lowest recorded temperature here was −38.5 °C (−37.3 °F) in 1942 and last year minimum temperature was -33 °C(-27.4 °F). I guess climate change is a thing...

There are two types of winter here in (my area of) Pennsylvania:
A. Where everyone freaks out at 3 inches (about 7.5 cm) of snow
B. Where 6 inches (about 15 cm) of snow is basically nothing
oh and there was last winter where we got 2 feet of snow in about a day and nothing else
