Hello everyone! As you know I have a (really) terrible reputation for bad and worthless code projects, but I'm sure this one will do good!
OpenEE is Open Everybody Edits (duh) and is made in MonoGame using C#. This will have Singleplayer & Multiplayer worlds, where singleplayer worlds do not require accounts and are not hosted on the Player.IO server, and where multiplayer worlds require an account or guest mode and are hosted on the Player.IO servers.
The design of this will be based on Google's Material Design and Everybody Edits design, but will not follow all rules of it and will not have animation in the GUI for a while.
Note that this project is still in the indev state. It will have source code on GitHub and there is a placeholder repo: www.github.com/joyeshowo/openee (Note that the serverside code will not be posted)
I hope this project goes well! This project was mainly designated for the 'modding' interface which I had suggested to EE a long time ago. Also, bots will (if the coder wants) add a GUI into your own game so you can manage the bot without leaving the client and without requiring a sign-in from the bot!

First off, this supports bots `INSIDE` the gui (also said like mods like you said)
And yes, they're still mods, they still use the same API, but they modify the game without adding blocks or something.
Sorry if I didn't make sense, I tend to have issues making sense sometimes.

Not exactly. A copy is copying the code, but a ripoff is copying the idea and even trying to make things look equal.

What? Like I said above, a copy is the copy of the code.
Copyright acts as when you steal/clone the author's code and claim it's yours, thus breaking it.
This is perfectly fine to run, since it isn't ninja's code copyied, but it is obviously a ripoff.

Is this like OffEE?
If you steal the source code or any media such as EE's artwork or sound effects, that's considered copyright infringement. You're still allowed to use the idea of characters building worlds in a 2d environment but please consider using other assets or your time may be for nothing.

Ninja and me made an agreement that OpenEE (Not even the source code) could be released until OffEE source code gets released. Though I am (not) trying to steal his code, the ideas are all the same:
an everybody edits client that can be played offline and has block mods and stuff
but mine has the extra ideas:
can be played online and has mods to your heart's content
online worlds can be backed up

This isn't completely a ripoff, can you read?
Singleplayer exists, but this has multiplayer, so I guess you'd call it more of a ripoff of EE.
