also i don't see why it shouldn't, i'm pretty sure most of this forum can handle swears

Perhaps only censor the stuff where people are swearing at each other, because nobody really wants to read that if it's not relevant to the post.

IMO other swearing (e.g. for effect) is fine. If it's in a spoiler with a language warning, clicking on it voids your right to complain.

Sure, as long as it is an accepted standard across the forum; this idea was brought up last time the argument was brought up - explicit tags so that those with censors will just show a snip and other people can open it and see what is inside.

Why is it needed on the whole forum? I can understand this rule on Mod Discussion, as removed swear words will leave things that are said unknown to the moderators. In other forums, I think people will use this as an excuse to use swearing to get their point across, even when it's not needed most of the time.

In that case then I guess you can just put an external link. So it won't be displayed on the forums directly. But I just don't think you should promote such things in the first place.

There should be an option to allow swears, like in the game. Or even a clickable word that shows the swear (example: [swear] > [you r dumb!])

How are external links okay, but spoilers aren't? They both have the same principle. There's a warning for swearing, and if you don't mind swearing you click on the link/spoiler and get to see the explicit content.

What do you mean "and then we are back here"? People aren't gonna suddenly want to allow swears without spoilers just because remembering to use a spoiler is difficult (if that's what you meant).

btw I think the swear spoilers should be limited to the following: images, videos and links. I don't think we should allow people to swear in their posts and just put a spoiler around it. It should be used primarily to share external media. Of course you might be able to abuse it by putting your text into an image, but mods are capable of using their best judgement where exceptions must be made.

I know people can be stupid, but have a little faith. In that circumstance, they would have no right to complain because they broke the rules. It won't be a lot of people forgetting to use spoilers, and it's not like the punishment for something like that is severe. I don't think there could be a large change of opinion from something like that.

I don't actually get your point though. Even if everyone decides they want swears without spoilers, what's wrong with that? If everyone is okay with it, then I don't see the issue. The only thing that would bother me is if a few people complaining caused a big change for everyone, but diff wouldn't let that happen.
