I've been playing some of the contest maps, there are many with fun gameplay ideas!

I was not a judge during the spring contest. I still judged. Just say it's non-official and it will just be another nice way to get feedback for the level creators. (Even if they will not have a say in the results from the real judges)

It was a valid point imo. Not everyone will play every single submitted level, but instead they will just play the levels made by well known players. As a result, they are likely to vote for them in the community vote. Even if they do play all of the levels, they most likely aren't following any sort of strict criteria so it is very possible that they would have a biased opinion. The difference when you are a judge is that you actually have to think before you make a choice.

Personally I don't like the idea of a community vote. It's supposed to make judging less biased or whatever but it just makes the problem even worse.

It is true that for the last contest , some participants did not deserve their 2nd see 1st place . Some do not even respected the theme giving a monstrous advantage on how to shape the gameplay. But this is not to talk about the past I come here.Toop provides about 2 weeks to announce the results of the 45 registered . Hmm, imagine if it were 103 participants registered , it would probably received the results after the holidays
I also have a problem on the seasons themes,The seasons are the periods to which we assign weather , there may be the sun in winter and summer.
That's why I think a more precise theme would be better addressed by the participants, facilitating the judgment , and of course the talent gap between the teams.
Because seriously, some teams exaggerate ( Lictor666 , Kiraninja , Stagecrew , DClevels , Benje00 ) no chance of losing for them, and no equality
Basically , they tell us , you are useless in this contest , they allow themselves to ask for things to Toop , I would never have done. Anyway, the anti-backlash , and more or less abstract rules All that to say that some teams do not even have one gem much for participating against the big teams
I want to clarify to Trix RIP and else,without participating , no competition and therefore no reward.

And if you increase the energy storage without increasing the cooldown of energy I see no usefulness

Ok, when people say that it is unfair to let top-tier teams participate or receive prizes they are the ones being unfair to the top teams. When the only reasoning for not letting them win is that there is one less of chance for anyone else to win is ridiculous. Not everyone one is a winner. This is a contest. You have to respect the ability of these teams because they know how to make good levels and that is what deserves to win, as long as they followed the rules. People can try to discredit or find a way to get them disqualified, but it doesn't matter if everything they have done is with guidelines. The contest is a chance to see how we, as a community, can create unique levels. If you want the prizes then go out and learn what makes these levels good and get your name out there. That's all I have to say.

Also if you want gems buy them or wait weeks on end. They are a way for EE to profit not something you deserve. It was just something to sweeten the deal and drive people to make the best levels.
