Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Delete A World (With Secure Confirmation)

I need a feature to delete worlds because I have a lot of worlds that I don't need, and it's making my world search laggy. So I want a feature to delete worlds. For secure confirmation, when deleting a world, ask for the world owner's password, then start a schedule to delete the world in 7 days, so the world owner still has 7 days to change its mind

If you support my suggestion, thanks //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Re: Delete A World (With Secure Confirmation)

If so, they should be forced to type delete [world id/name] and then press 'OK'.
The authentication is provided by Player.IO, and wouldn't work with Kongregate, Facebook or ArmorGames, etc.

Additionally, it's reassuring they cannot log users passwords (without noticeable client modifications), since it uses a hosting provider like Player.IO for authentication.

Re: Delete A World (With Secure Confirmation)

name your world something like "z_unused"
it will be placed on the bottom of "mine" worlds list because worlds are sorted by alphabet
and enable "hide in lobby and profile" thing in the world options in game

The problem is my world search is getting laggy because my useless worlds are using most of my physical memory

I need a feature to delete worlds because I have a lot of worlds that I don't need, "and it's making my world search laggy." So I want a feature to delete worlds. For secure confirmation, when deleting a world, ask for the world owner's password, then start a schedule to delete the world in 7 days, so the world owner still has 7 days to change its mind

Even Nou tried to work on it, and it also helps to cleanup their database

How about instead of requesting to type their password, what about captcha? If it still doesn't support some engines, just ask for "Are you sure you want to delete this world?" then start the schedule.

Re: Delete A World (With Secure Confirmation)

i think the password should be required in case someone logs on ur acc from the computer where your password is saved (so they basically get in ur acc without knowing the p/w)
but hell, why not p/w + captcha lol
imo 7 days is too much, maybe something around 3 days?

Burn failed. Captcha did not accept it.

If that happens, they could still do a lot of damage without being able to delete any worlds (clearing all your worlds, for example). I think the captcha would be enough.

but at least your thousands of spent energy wouldnt go to waste?
losing whats inside the worlds is still better than losing the worlds completely

No, avoid bringing in CAPTCHA at all costs. Instead of forcing in a confusing test from another website, perhaps the staff themselves could make some sort of test. Just no CAPTCHA, please...

Energy is free. Only thing you've wasted is your time spending it, and that can't be helped.

i still think its better to have your world cleared than completely losing it because you still put your into into getting it

Re: Delete A World (With Secure Confirmation)

1) you can delete only cleared worlds
2) you have 1 week after deleting to get world back

It's the people's choice, and I want to delete my 125 small worlds that made my world searches laggy, and I don't care about my 15625 energies, all I care about is avoiding my stupid computer to reach full physical memory that can cause a Minor Blue Screen
