Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Since no one actually bothered to counterclaim you, we can assume that there is no Cop, no Doctor, they would speak up and get you lynched easily. The only option possible is a jailor / citizen / goon combo I guess...

Risking town a mislynch and a hardclaim on a potentially powerful role? Seriously AlphaJon?
I have a bad feeling about your claim.

If I was scum, I wouldn't have claimed that in the first place, let alone revert my claim after people had believed me.
What if you didn't give them enough time to counterclaim?
Everyone posted. I consider it fair to assume that the guy would have counterclaimed.

Well, worst case scenario, the mislynch would go to me. And I consider having a confirmed town better than a 1/7 chance of mafia losing a night.

This still doesn't rule out games A and 3.
Let's say you were sheriff and someone else claimed bulletproof. Would you have counterclaimed right away, or wait a few days? I'd definitely wait to lure out the second scum or investigate a few people...

Exactly. The actual PRs could just be holding their cards close to their chest and letting you self destruct. For all we know, one of the players might in fact be a bulletproof townie, and simply wasn't dumb enough to counterclaim.

While I agree that the PRs don't want to reveal himself, a counterclaim would have confirmed one hardly-killable town which would as a result stay until the end-game.

But if the mafia doesn't know who's bulletproof, that's potentially two whole kills that they could spend on one person. So by telling them who is bulletproof, you tell the mafia who to not waste their factional kill on. You're effectively handing them two kills on a silver platter at that point.

that's only if we have a jailor or doctor, and if they counterclaimed that would have been suicide.

Hey remember last game? We had an awful lot of audacious scum. I don't think that alone is enough to constitute a town read.
That definitely wasn't the game I played. Mafia 6 was full of nitpickers, blanket accusations, and afk scum.
This was audacity to the X-treme

Forcing town to claim is a powerful strategy for scum and could help mafia disable town's important roles. AlphaJon did a very risky thing that could end up being disastrous for our town.
He unclaimed when he was called out for it.
AlphaJon went from confirmed town to scumlean in 0 seconds.

I can see a sherrif revealing themselves. Or maybe even the doctor, a 1v1 PR for Scum trade isn't THAT bad.

Eh ok. Maybe it seemed more audacious to me since my teammates were self destructing.
I just had a look at this chart and I propose a theory:
AlphaJon is scum in either A2 or B3 and was trying to confirm whether or not the town has any protective roles by seeing if there is a bulletproof town and using that info to determine who the last PR is.

Well I've completely lost track of everything
Did anyone else have the urge to forge a counterclaim even if they weren't a PR?
If it wasn't such a risky move (which could cost us one of our PRs) then yes I would go with it but goddamn, I'm glad nothing happened. AlphaJon is more likely to be A2, that would give scum a lot of insight into the game.
I find it hard to believe that two people refused to role claim... Hmmm

Okay to sum this up I think expecting anyone to counterclaim was DUMB because anyone with a BRAIN should know that risking our 1-2 PRs would cost us the game. AlphaJon was rebuked for his IDIOCY but at least he made an attempt to start up D1.
The only winning combo would be game 2 if sheriff claimed and had a doctor protecting him

So, I'm going to explain it using maths. There was a 1/3 chance of a bulletproof being there. On that bulletproof, mafia has a 1/7 chance of targeting him. That makes it a 1/21 chance, which is ~5%. And a 5% chance of a 1 night delay isn't that much powerful.

Pls, no. Having them reveal would have been doom. And the players in here are quite good. I don't see anyone here claiming these 2.

Row 2: that would be pure suicide. I'd have the sheriff on my back, and a doctor protecting him. I wouldn't gain anything.
Col A: I'd get roleblocked by the jailkeeper and lose my night action and kill ability. GG WP, another useless thing.
B3: It's a goon. I'd have no way of knowing if the goon is B3 or C1. Too many risks for low rewards. I'd get to know there is a tracker. woo!
