In all honesty, not banning lictor sets a bad precedent.

What's stopping me from making as many entries as I want next time, and just claiming that "it's just a joke" when I get caught?

Or me working on multiple teams, saying "don't ban them, just ban me" when I get caught?

Lictor could have just as easily had two winning entries if he wasn't caught.
Sure, his other entry was only tangentially related to spring*, but the art was good and the gameplay was decent.

If he hadn't been caught cheating he would have had two wins.

And this isn't a matter of "NSFW is good and I want to beat them", it's about standards. If any other person was caught cheating, I would expect them to be disqualified. (And they probably would.)

*And a lot of the levels are only tangentially related to spring, so this is basically a non-issue. It would probably get a honourable mention, which is still a sizeable reward.

If the rules are not enforced, then the rules are meaningless, and the judging has no value.

I said it before, but I could easily see Lictor's "joke level" getting an honourable mention, which is worth 100 max energy.

This is not fair. This is not the right thing to do.

Lictor willingly ignored the rules, and it's doubtful that he wanted to be caught.

what is actually the right thing to do

Lictor should acknowledge that he broke the rules, and fall on his own sword.
If you truly believe in "doing the right thing" you would let him be disqualified.

Because, if it's the former, then I can see why they would want to enforce that, because the more teams you join, the higher chance you have to win, but if it's the latter, then why even have that as a rule? It's not hurting anyone, and if you don't win on your main account, but on an alternate account, there is no way to move your prizes (with the removal of gem codes).

It's not hurting anyone, and if you don't win on your main account, but on an alternate account, there is no way to move your prizes (with the removal of gem codes).

What if you play on multiple accounts? Or, what if you use your alt accounts as "classic pack" collector so you can get all the classic block packages, all on different accounts?

you can still get the blocks then log onto that alt and place them. Or, you could get more max energy on that alt to use as an energy slave for crews
