Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I think your constant obsession with this subject is unhealthy too. Many, many factors are involved in cancer. You're reducing it to just "never eat meat = suddenly live a 100% healthy life and never visit a doctor anymore", which is definitely not true.
I'm saying that being a vegan will promote a healthy lifestyle, but I am not in anyway saying it's a miraculous cure that makes you live forever.
It doesn't help with cancer, but it does help with heart disease. I never mentioned cancer too so idk why you brought that up.
now wheres that 9gag meme about vegans
on a serious matter:
>meat should not be banned
>if you would try to ban it, how would you do that? its eaten all around the world, you cant just ban something thats spread around that much
>you seem like you're trying to propagate instead of debating:
We shouldn't eat meat. Meat is poison.
Vegetables can taste incredible. Tofu cooked in olive oil simmered with Sriracha sauce. Add couscous. Add onions, bell peppers, and black beans. Mmmmm

Meat doesn't cause heart disease if you get up and do something.
If you eat large amounts of meat, and sit around and do nothing, then you start to have health problems.
There's a lot more to look at.

Did you guys know that 100% of people who drink water will die or have already died?
Water must be banned.

So just eat less meat then. No need to stop eating it completely.

Like most of you folks, I'm too lazy to read what people have said.
Just because vegans don't have heart issues doesn't mean it's meat. First, what other crap is noted in the vegan diet? Further, you're running the correlation that health wackos are going to have other things in their lifestyle than just not eating certain foods. (exercise? mutlivitamins? drugs?)
also, we're omnivores. Yes, we probably eat too much meat. But eating no meat is also not what an omnivore is.
Out of the scope of this discussion: And no there's no way in ... anywhere that this ban would get passed. We'd get meat industry lobbyists like the tobacco and the alcohol and congress would pass laws to benefit them.
Actually those people already exist I imagine.

Monsanto would probably step in.

True, but still, meat increases the LDL portion of your body's LDL/HDL ratio. The more LDL you have the more the plaque gets to grow. If your HDL is way higher than your LDL and your LDL in totality is low, your plaque can actually reverse. A man named Nathan Pritikin was diagnosed with heart disease and had frequent bouts of angina. His story is what wanted me to become a vegetarian (yes, I'm not a full-on vegan but I'll dwindle around there sometimes). You can read about it here as there's simply too much info to post here on its own:
"https://www.pritikin.com/home-the-basic … tikin.html"
He had cholesterol levels over 300, and after starting an intensive diet focused on low-fat, low-calorie, high-carb foods, his plaque began to reverse. Of course, he also ran 3 miles daily. When he died of leukemia-induced suicide, the doctors examined his arteries and were astonished at how they looked like a preteen's arteries. Many old people at the time developed heart disease and had no choice but to be on medications and prepare for the worst, though Nate knew there was another way around after studying the diets of more primitive cultures and their vegetarian lifestyles. He concluded that those people with their lifestyles had far less heart attack cases then the people of the US, and had come up with a theory that the processed, fatty foods and meats distributed across the US nowadays (and back in the 70's) were what contributed to the development of heart disease.
Him running 3 miles a day had a lot to do with his arteries not being all clogged up. Sure, not eating meat will help. It helps clean out a lot, like your muscle mass, and iron + other minerals.. We're not made to live on a diet purely of leaves.

Also kefka I have a joke for you.
"A vegetarian (or vegan, depends on who's telling the joke), an atheist, and a crossfitter walked into a bar.
I only know because they told everyone within two minutes"

That's true and that's pretty much what I'm doing with this debate, which is kinda sad LMAO
Changing topic title since banning meat was a ridiculous topic title to go over anyway
No, you shouldn't moderate food. What's put into the food should be moderated more.
I know its dangerous to be seen agreeing with jawapa, and it hurts me, it really does.
But he's right.
Of course meat shouldn't be moderated. Silly vegetarian, go eat some grass.

The true problem is that nowadays meat its not anymore natural. Farmers use supplements on their animal. Those are basically chemicals.
Think of the people who live at mountains. They eat meat quite often. Their isolated from the rest of the world, at a big distance to the nearest hospital. Did you heard that those people have health issues? No! Thats because they live healthy.
If you live in a city you are more likely to develop health issues.
TL;DR; Not meat is the problem but the drugs in it.

Meat has been linked to coronary heart disease. Even the American Heart Association has said to eat more fruits and vegetables. I guess meat has been in slight moderation already. It has still been linked to high cases of atherosclerosis, which can be preventable by eating meat seldomly, or avoiding it completely.

Have they said to completely stop eating meat because it's evil and is death incarnate which sounds like carnage and carnivore which is just more proof that meat is evil death poison?
