Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Welcome to the official EE forums, where we share, hang around and discuss about the game. If you never saw a forums before, a forum is an online discussion site where people can hold conversations in the form of posted messages. The difference of the forums from a chatroom is that you can post longer, better organized messages and the messages are saved and can be viewed any time.
You should know we're not robots, everyone has a different personality, some will accept you, others won't, if you whine about this, you're just going to turn things worse. Remember: We're going to judge you by your personality, watch out to don't build a bad reputation.
If you're going to create a topic, check if you're posting it in the correct category, we made these to keep separate topics and make the forums more organized. If you're wondering what category is for, check which topic your topic fits in:
-----OFFICIAL BUSINESS-----
Game Business: You can't post a topic here, but you can discuss or comment about the update in the topic about the update. Try not acting like you would do in EE.
Forum Business: You also can't post a topic here, but you can discuss and even send some suggestions regarding the forums.
-----GAME DISCUSSION-----
Game Discussion:
Bots and Programming: If you're making the topic about a bot or asking for help about anything related to programming, post it here. However, if you programmed a game or something not for EE, don't post it here.
Groups: Also called crews, it's most a crew recruitment category, but you can also post about your crew. Avoid making more than one topic for the same crew.
Questions and Answers: If you have any questions about the game or anything related to, post it here and we'll answer shortly. Don't post suggestions here.
Level Creation: If you're asking for help to make your level, an advice or you're making a guide, post it here. Don't post finished levels.
Rooms: Post here your finished levels or a world series (you don't need more than one topic if you're making a series). Don't ask for help here, also use common sense (don't post boss to code or host assisted levels, bot-assisted levels are acceptable).
-----FEEDBACK-----
Graphics Suggestions: It's basically like Game Suggestions, except you must provide a graphic for your suggestion. Don't post a topic asking for someone to make you a graphic.
Game Suggestions: Basically any suggestion about the game if you didn't provide a graphic at all. Don't post suggestions for EE forums or other websites that aren't EE.
Campaign Suggestions: This forums is for posting campaigns, you're allowed to choose anyone's world. Don't post suggestions for campaign system, use game suggestions for that.
Forum Discussion: Anything related to the forums can be posted here, suggestions, bugs, analysis or even surveys belong here.
Bug Reports: Use this forums if you found a bug, check if someone else didn't point it.
-----OFF-TOPIC-----
Off-Topic Discussion: Basically anything non-EE related can be found here, surveys, smaller discussions, announcements, etc. Just avoid spam.
Debates: For serious non-EE related discussions that promoves a huge argument (not "what are you good at?", "anyone watches it?"). If you're bad at arguing, discussing and debating, don't post here.
Creative: You can post your creations here, EE related or not (just don't post worlds, EE bots or guides). Did you make a game? Post here. Did you draw an EE picture? Post it here.
Forum Games: Anything that promotes just playing around, from "rate the user above" to mafia games. Try not to make a meaningless game such "Count to 9001".
-----IMPORTS FROM NORTH KOREA-----
Topic Graveyard: Normally only spam or advertisements are here, it's not that it's of your interests.
Posting
When posting, remember that organized posts are going to be taken more seriously. Here are some tips on posting:
Have an idea of what you're posting, at least read the OP before.
Try to capitalize and punctuate everything properly, imagine you're posting this to your English teacher.
Some misspellings won't hurt, but if you seem to be intentionally misspelling, we're just going to ignore you.
You don't need to make long posts, but at least add a clear sentence.
Jokes are acceptable as long you don't want to be forum clown on every post.
Avoid using internet slangs (lol wtf gr8) and emoticons (unless you feel like it fits in).
Use BBCode to organize your posts better, just don't abuse it, if you color every single post, we'll think you're just stupid.
When posting a topic, imagine these tips but slightly stricter, as the OP must be clear.
Rules
Like any other website, we have rules to avoid making this a huge anarchy. Rules are pretty easy to follow as long you pay attention to what you're posting. Breaking rules may result in a warning and a certain number of warnings will get you bans.
Rules Page: http://forums.everybodyedits.com/misc.php?action=rules
Warning Types: http://forums.everybodyedits.com/warnings.php
Currently the rules page needs some more content, but here's what each warning means:
Minimodding: Basically pointing out someone's breaking rules and/or is going to get warned for that. If you notice someone's breaking rules, either report or PM him about that if you don't want him banned. This rule will give you a neutral warning, however if you keep doing that, your posts are going to be considered spam.
Spam (Minor): Posting something that adds nothing to the discussion at all, such "lol, "assjgdajkda" and other stuff. To avoid that, try to make a meaningful post (one word posts are acceptable as long it provides something).
Spam: Posting not just once, but several spam posts, likely you're aiming to harm the forums. Please, refrain from hyperposting, post count isn't something you should worry about, you should worry about the quality.
Off-Topic: Starting a discussion in a topic that has nothing to do with the discussion, if this happens, you'll get a verbal warning in the topic, however if you stay off-topic posting after this verbal warning, you're going to receive an official warning. See what the OP is about, if someone starts a discussion not related to the topic, either ignore or create a topic about it.
Inappropriate (Language): Cursing, swearing or anything that a kid wouldn't want to hear. Avoid using cursing when making a post, if you feel like you need it, use an euphenism or simply don't evade the censor, if you're unsure about something, just don't post.
Rudeness: Being rude towards someone such saying he sucks or indirectly offending him is considered rudeness. Even though sometimes you'll want to yell, try to not act immature, if you feel like someone's offending you, report, don't reply with another insult.
Inappropriate (Minor): Posting content that's not appropriate for children, such some words, sexual descriptions and others. Remember there are kids around the forums, you can easily avoid posting that.
Report Abuse: Spamming the report button with jokes, fake reports and anything that make moderator's job harder. If you feel like someone breaks the rules, check the rules and his posts, if you're still unsure and wants to report it, then put what you feel like it's wrong, why and notify you're not sure about that, at least moderators won't think you're doing it intentionally, don't use the reports for jokes, never.
Inappropriate: Sexual imagery, drugs reference, Strong images, anything you did find disturbing when you were Young. Think before posting, there's no secret at all.
Account Fraud: Creating an account without asking a moderator if you're allowed to, most to evade a ban. There's no point to create 2nd accounts, but if you feel like you should, ask a moderator first and explain why you need it, if you're banned, wait to be unbanned, don't extend your ban.
Personal Info (Minor): Posting info about someone such first name or anything they don't want to share. Don't try to harm someone's anonymity, if someone doesn't mind having their personal info shared, they're sharing themselves.
Flaming: Bullying and hurting someone, death threats also count. You know cyberbullying is forbidden and you should never do it, if someone's irritating you, don't reply them with a flame, either report or ignore them.
Illegal Content: Anything that has been stated as ilegal in the internet. There's no reason to post that and you should know you might get more than just a forum ban.
Personal Info: Posting dangerous info about someone such address or email with malicious intention. Same reason as Personal Info (Minor), there's no reason for that.
