Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Re: The Future of Everybody Edits

Question: Will bots be affected by the switch to Unity? I can't imagine it would but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Also, it has been mentioned that without quantity-restricted items, there will be less things to buy. I mean, anyone who has taken economics could tell you that when supply goes down, price goes up and quantity goes down. Does the staff anticipate countering this change (i.e. creating more items OR reducing the price), or doing nothing?

Personally, I think that a decrease in supply is what we need right now, and that we should take it further. Higher prices, lower rate of production. Right now, we have cheap blocks (especially now that campaigns increase the supply of energy) being produced very often. That's not sustainable. Will we have 5,000 blocks this time next year? Imagine you're a new player entering that environment with pressure to buy all of them. Imagine you're a player who has bought all of them. It's just not practical. I'm curious about this future of EE, too.

In addition, we will also offer a stand-alone client to play on your desktop, plus we will look into getting this client on Steam to open it up to a whole new market and get in a great amount of new players.

I will look forward to this the most. All the staff's time and dedication needs to be rewarded with a larger playerbase and revenue. Not to mention it would profoundly improve the actual worlds.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

This means it'll be a recurring payment like BC.

will you have it permanetely or will there be months cause that will literally suck

You used more than ½ million energy:
http://ee.yonom.org/goshanoob (used 509,520 energy)
So did I:
http://ee.yonom.org/nlmdejonge (used 528,940 energy)
Maybe we'll get a special smiley for it. https://wiki.everybodyedits.com/images/c/c0/069_LOL

Anyway, the future of EE looks bright.

Maybe when the game is on Steam there will be a way to keep using our old nicks?
[Edit: And still use the Steam version, I mean.]

I have permanently left the game and forum.
EE is an entertaining game and I enjoyed playing it...
...but it's time for me to move on.

Disagreed. It's still the same EE since 2010, with numerous adjustments and additions.

Re: The Future of Everybody Edits

So if EE will be ported to Steam, is there any way to transfer my Kongregate ee account to the steam version? I've already paid for beta and it'd suck if I lost it.

Maybe I missed something in the text. But if you have gm, will you still have all blocks like ultimate block pack but for a limited time?

What happens to PlayerIO? Does it support Unity or are you going to move?

No, it's still there. Sometimes if you touch a coin you can get an energy boost or a wizard.

They won't go to waste! Instead of hundreds, you'll get an endless amount of items, which means an endless amount of possibilities! //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile

Sounds amazing. Infinite items will probably let more people make levels that would require a lot of limited items, which could lead to more unique levels. Can't wait.

Unity is one of the two and a half things PlayerIO actually supports. It's probably the whole reason they're moving to unity and not something else.

As a Kong user I must ask, if the game is going to be on steam in the future, how will we be able to move to there?

Will there be any compensation for people who spent a lot of energy and/or gems to get more special bricks? Setting people who bought 10 and 2000 of a brick to the same level isn't fair at all. For over five years I've logged into EE to spend my energy on bricks just to get thousands of them. If nothing changes all the effort will be made worthless in one update. It's good to think of the newer players, but please don't forget your veterans.

Why are you complaining now? Builders club gave you essentially every block too, and that is fine?

You got these blocks months or years before others and could use them over a much larger period of time. Plus, I don't think you will mind getting unlimited versions of some blocks either.
