honestly i'm actually surprisingly okay with email verification, given the fact that i USED to have a specific formula for the emails. just use a temp email. if you don't like using a temp email, make a new email account. easy as that.

okay, but how would ee go about doing that? like, the technical aspect? it's a flash game. honestly, it seems like it would be something completely pointless and a waste of resources for the staff, especially considering that it's not a super popular game. a "verified" account will add even more elitism to ee and alienate younger users, which kind of seems like your goal with the idea?

you're on your computer. your phone's across the room. you wanna sign up for a game. but it has cell phone verification.
honestly, i'm not gonna sign up for it. i can handle email verification since it only requires a few keystrokes and mouse clicks, but i am way too lazy to get my phone if it's across the room. it's practically two different devices and that's just so cumbersome.

speaking from personal experience, which... honestly, means nothing, i didn't have a cell phone until 2013 when i was sixteen, and even then it was a crappy one from the dollar store that i wouldn't even bother with verifying anything with.

I would like to point out that when you register for the game it asks for your email not your phone number.
if you don't have a valid email then don't register in the first place
