Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Go in a car of course. You can always open your windows to be cooled by the wind, and you're protected from sun hitting you from above. Plus, it's much quicker.

From my experience, being in a car is much better. It's actually hotter being outside, even if the car seems hot. Though it depends on how many people are in the car. If it's full then of course it would be hot, but I think it would still be better than walking.

Definitely the car. You don't have to lug your bag back to your house if you ride in a car.
And walking in hot weather can be pretty tiring and in the car you have air conditioner (and even if you don't you can open the windows).

If it's a hot day that could end up worse than walking. Maybe not though, I've never done much cycling so idk.

But biking takes more energy than walking.

But biking takes more energy than walking.

Going uphill on a bike isn't fun. I'd rather walk than bike up a steep hill. HOWEVER.

11 calories / minute at 13 mph (160 lbs) (biking)
6 calories / minute at 4 mph (160 lbs) (walking)

If you're going three miles (e.g.):
biking time = 3 / 13 = 14 minutes.
walking time = 45 minutes.

calories burned:
biking - 11*14 = 154
walking - 6*45=270

So, you're going faster and burning more calories if you walk.
But that's walking at a brisk pace (my pace)

2 mph & 3 cal /min
(3 miles / 2 mph //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/smile 90 minutes * 3 cal = 270
huh. this can't be right. walking quickly or slowly burns the same calories.

My point: biking takes less energy. overall, but it's more compact.
