I hate the mentality of early releases, it screws games up so much. If the update/game release is riddled with bugs/unfinished parts, and im not talking about the bugs that you can't really test without mass testing, its better to hold off and not do the release then. For some reason though, people feel the need to have instant gratification by playing a game with just the bare minimum features rather than a game that could start off with much more. Not saying all developers do that, but many of them do. As long as the update/game release meets or exceeds expectations, does it matter if its a few weeks late (like EE's) or early (like the one you mentioned)?

That's like Nou updating the game majorly without anyone knowing it before hand! And guess what the best part about it was! Nobody asked him to make the update.
