Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

How do you draw minimap art on EE?
The way I do it is I first memorize each block's or background's color. From there I draw a solid shape (ex. Starfish) with a orange color. If I want my starfish to be orange, I should use the tube block. Once I made my starfish shape filled with orange, I start shading. In general, there needs to be a brightest color and a darkest color. For the brightest, orange glass may work. For darkest, I might use a brown brick block. Here are five examples:
I don't. Me trying to draw minimap art is equal to me trying to use Hammer.

Hah. Shading. Like I could ever do that.

I try to do minimap art then cry
I tried minimap art once. Then I realized it's a pursuit that I didn't feel I was able to support with my time, based off of how much I actually want to do minimap art.
In other words, I don't. But if I did, it would look rather bad.

Pretty much every level is done with 4...
I like 5. I don't make 5, but I like it. 5 makes it look clean.

Actually, after years of playing EE, I've gotten much better at making minimap art even thought I'm not great at it. 4 is the common style that I use.

I do 6 :
( And I'm terrible at 3D art )

I usually do 5 for background, and 1 to 3 other things. I like using degrade, the 4 layout is to chaotic to me.
But it really depends of what you're drawing, and of what impression you want to give.
For backgrounds, first I think about which color I'll use. Then, I list the backgrounds of the selected colour from darkest to lightest.
I select which background I'll use, and sketch the outline for them (like layers of a cake). Then, I fill them up and mix the pairs of layers, like this (unfinished):
Even though the background from the first image is different from the second (I remade it), the process it's the same. Most of the time, you can clearly see that it's not something homogenous, but it gives the impression that it is (depending of the numbers of backgrounds and the difference between their hex values)

It depends what I'm trying to create.
Despite what people say, Different55 is the best mod.

Depend on the art. If you could master all those 5 (6) shadings then it's perfect.
In my levels I mixt all those
You should use all of these. It depends on the material that you are shading. You probably don't want to use 4 if your ball is made of glass.
thx for sig bobithan

I do a 4 type of shading I think, I'll let you guys elaborate on this pic.
Thanks Bobithan for the sig, love it <3 "You will never know how valuable a thing or a person is...until its not with you anymore, then you`ll regret..."

Am I the only here who would rather do the type 1?
This is a false statement.

Good on you. 1 is also simple, and easier not to mess up. Simply usually = better.

@Mainx: Incorrect, I know exactly what I'm talking about. Google images don't have pictures of MY ocs. Go ahead and try to find one. Just google searching "Nick Yukara" gives me OCs in the first three results, which are my posts from the Yugioh Card Maker forums, which show up because their keywords are exactly what you're searching for, searching for "Melanie Yukara" shows the same amount of images the search "Nick Yukara" did in relevance to me, but this time only 2 oc images, after that it's a jumble, and after that a random jumble of anime. Searching for "Sephira Yukara", "Leslie Yukara", and "Devari Yukara" leads to no results.
I EEArtist'd them into worlds of my crew called Yukara Clan, which can be found here: http://everybodyedits.com/crews/yukaraclan
@xFrog: If you count sta.sh as deviantart, then you are correct.
If you want to see my full sta.sh, you may PM me asking so.
