Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Long-Quoting

Let's say someone makes a nice topic with a OP filled with images and text, then someone decides to quote the OP just to say something. Do you find it annoying? I do.

I think there should have a new rule regarding needlessly long-quoting. Someone agree?

Re: Long-Quoting

I tend to trim down what I'm quoting so it refers to what I'm responding to. Especially if it's a longer post. It's so much easier to read for everyone, and there's less confusion in what I'm talking about.

Re: Long-Quoting

I thought there was already a rule, but if there's not, then yes. Maybe also a warning if you try to quote something over a certain number of characters.

So few people do this, and it usually ends in long 5 quote chains. It's even worse when the reply is only really talking about what that one person said and nothing else in the chain, I mean, it's not hard to highlight something and click quick quote.

There is

Gravedigging, double-posting, and quoting the original post should only be done when necessary.

That's just the original post though.

I thought it was about quoting long posts, not quoting trains.

But what if there's a big post around and it gets quoted?
