Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Auto-kick inactive users.

Recently there has been a resurgence in people who make bot accounts just to join levels to boost overall player number and woot count. This is unacceptable and really ought to lead to a ban, but at the least the players should be kicked from the world after a certain point. Poor quality levels and levels that have no purpose are constantly being placed at the top of the list. I doubt anyone checks these forums as often as they were previously, but there really needs to be something about this. I often times find myself staying in worlds overnight when I leave the tab and forget about it, therefore keeping the worlds loaded in unnecessarily, and I wouldn't mind being kicked out at that point.

Re: Auto-kick inactive users.

Ideally, they shouldn't need a bomb-bot to get big. If no one uses them then there will be more competition for maps and people will end up scrolling down and playing maps with less people in them, letting the cream rise to the top, so to speak. They could also advertise on the forums in the completed rooms forum. How many good levels have you seen that use bomb-bots?

I Agree but i think if a user is in a world for example if someone bombs your would since they dont move if they are not active under 5 minutes they get immediatley sent to the lobby thats what it does to me when im not using it for a long time.

I'm going to guess you use chrome?

If I leave EE open on a background tab for a around 5 to 10 minutes then it takes me to the lobby.

Re: Auto-kick inactive users.

How about, instead of being kicked from the world then, they are just turned some lighter color or something and counted as "afk" instead. They won't count towards the active player list and if they make any movement or place any block or anything they are removed from the list until another x amount of time passes without any action?

nope. nope. nope.

Nothing in the rules tells that.

One thing are bots, other thing is a player.

What you are typing here is a PLAYER, wich spams slowly the map with accounts and woots.
This can be dealt with IP location.

I'm sure the bots use shared accounts and can't be banned. (Well, most of them...)

Re: Auto-kick inactive users.

There's been a very heated debate on this already ( http://forums.everybodyedits.com/viewtopic.php?id=27062 ) and we're working on something for this.

We're definitely not going to punish people for afking; I play some difficult as hell levels that take me a few hours to beat sometimes, I certainly don't want to get punished for wanting to take a break //forums.everybodyedits.com/img/smilies/neutral

This should be up to the owner though, or else GKAbyssflorida will be banned from this game forever.

Pretty much this^

Also, to answer another thing in the OP, I don't think very many people bomb to increase woots or plays; most people who bomb, do it to get their level seen. Having a level collect dust for hours at the bottom of the lobby is one of the worst feelings someone could have, especially after spending a lot of time building something. Bombing is a quick way to ensure that your level gets seen.

I do it myself quite often, so I personally would never be able to bring myself to punish someone else for it.

Re: Auto-kick inactive users.

Nice suggestion, except for the fact that I afk way too much, I don't want to get kicked on my world.

This is a false statement.

Even if this will solve the problem of bombbots, a new problem will arise.
