Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

In order for a game to have a large community, people need to informed of its existence. I have decided to take on the task of getting the news of EE out to new, and possibly old players. Sharing things from EE (updates, big news, worlds, user content, etc), will start to bring in large amountsnof people. An older player might come across it and see that EE is no longer "dead," rather it is thriving.
Not only should content be shared and passed around, but so should the game itself. Placing the game on other sites will make the chances of reaching a new player higher.
First off, we have a Facebook and YouTube page. These are great, but what I really want to get my hands on the old twitter account (@EverybodyEdits). That account currently has 1000 followers. A couple tweets on that account will easily catch the attention of a few hundred people. I'm currently dealing with having this account handed over to me. What content would interest you most?. Sharing newly released worlds is an obvious. But what else? I know form the YouTube account we need more videos, specifically a new promo video.
Secondly, the game is on so many websites already. More than we can trace. The main ones are: kongregate, armor games, Facebook, and obviously the main EE site. Recently we put the game on Nanoba, and Yahoo Games. I am aware of the game being on GameFudge, and the countless Weebly sites. Where else should the game be placed? I'm thinking of trying AddictingGames, which has so many people. Besides that, I don't know.
Finally, it would be extremely helpful if you guys would help get the word out too. Liking, sharing, subscribing, and following will help share the game faster, and thus rebuild the game faster. I would like to know what your thoughts are, and put in suggestions for other ways to get this rolling even faster. Keep in mind that shutting the game down, or not doing anything at all, is not an option.

Send "Sia" to advertise Everybody Edits in a song video.
Try advertising it in well known websites/forums.
This is a false statement.

make sure that you dont use the site accounts on new sites (require registering for a regular account/playing as a guest not like kong/fb)
Typically, the game does register an account as a "normal" one. I don't think this will be a huge issue, but if it does we'll see if we can avoid it.

I found ee originall here : http://www.funnygames.eu/spiel/everybody_edits.html
Also i think there still need to be some changes in ee to make it more playbable for newer players.

There were a few players on andrograde but AFAIK andrograde is totally dead these days.

Yes, there are 'large amountsnof people'.

I assume that you have access to all of the emails of players have have registered for EE, why not send out a mass email offering a few free gems to all accounts that log into EE at least once during a random week? Call it a summertime special. Or if you don't want to offer gems, make a block that would be exclusive/free.

This could work. The only problem would be getting all the emails. I know some people are subscribed to the blog.

Maybe like a "log on every day for a week and get gems!"

This has been debated several times.
Ok so that means no.

Increase friend limit if a person visits periodicly.

Make the signup easier. For example, do something like Tumblr does: ask for an email, password (no confirm password) and username and you're set (it has a small message that clicking confirm will make you agree to terms and conditions rather than checking a check box.) Or like facebook, and put the signup on the main home page.
When the website is visited, there should be a signup page right there in the game, and a button to login, rather than having a login or signup button.
When a new user creates their account, there should be a very short video (~7s) that should explain how to play (push space to jump, left to move left, etc...)
If a user doesn't login for a while, have an automated email thing saying something like "We miss you! Come to EE today!" and put a link to it.

Please no automated messages like "we miss you" those are the reason ive quit many games.

What if they aren't automated?

Maybe something like the ability to poke your friends in the friendlist? which then sends an email (and for that matter beeing able to chat with your friends in the lobby)

Well, if they send you a message, you must have not played the game for a while and therefore in their eyes quit.
What if they aren't automated?
You could go that route. Might be a lot of emails though.

That's an interesting idea. Send out a "come play with me!" link to their email. Like "I just released this level, come play!"
Though this would be for returning people only, not new ones.
For new ones, I suggest you ask Kongregate/armor games/other sites that are already popular how to get your level featured/achievemented. That'd bring a wave.

I have made an EE page on powder toy... (hand made and bad looking, p.s. powder toy is another multiplayer game) It did create a few new members.
The best we can do is add it onto websites and maybe create art.

As soon as I get the newletter list from NVD or Processor, I will be writing something up to send out.
Also, we had put together Operation Save EE, which turned out to be a success. Therefore this is being renamed to Operation Reach Out.
