it's wayy too easy to earn gems this way

Gems are supposed to support EE, and it should be something difficult

Such as having 5,000 Magic Coins Collected

or

250 Worlds Owned

Well achievements are only a one time thing, you can't do the same easy task loads of times to get loads of gems. And I imagine only new players would get achievements frequently, since old players would have already achieved most of the achievements.

Sounds like a good idea, but:
What do you expect: Players make amazing art worlds with challenging minis.
What happens: Players make a world filled with 1x1 hookjump and thick jumps.

That's not at all how it would work. They don't just make whatever they want and have it get in.

Here's how the map pack idea really works:
-
1. A theme is announced at the start of the week. (For the sake of this explanation, we'll say the theme is "Ice")

2. All players have the rest of the week, to submit any Ice themed maps that they have. There is no limit to how many you can submit, nor do they need to have been built during the week. (This means even maps from 2010 are eligible.) This is made to encourage players to attempt to become more skillful at the map making aspect of the game.

3. I will sort through the maps, and with the help of some other guardians, we will pick the top 3-5 maps submitted. We will try to pick maps that are similar in difficulty, so that a pack doesn't have a really easy world, and an insane world in it. The difficulty should essentially remain even throughout all worlds.

4. Once the top worlds have been selected, they will be copied over to an admins account. This prevents the owner from being able to cheat players through his/her level. (If you don't want your level copied, then don't submit one.)

5. When finished, the entire pack will be placed into a new tab on the EE lobby labled "Map Packs"

6. The difficulty of the pack will determine the number of gems available. A dead simple easy pack will earn you as little as 1 gem, while a crazy rage death pack could earn as high as 100 gems, (gem amounts not yet confirmed) This will encourage players to attempt to become more skillful at the playing aspect of the game.

7. Every single world in the pack must be completed to earn the gems for that specific pack.

8. New packs will be added often.

I think both achievements and map packs should be implemented. Map packs encourage players to improve their skill in playing maps, and achievements encourage players to improve their skill in making maps. There needs to be a balance of both, after all.

If these do get put in the game, they should raise the prices of items in the shop so it balances out a little more.

Thats true but for some people who don't like spending money can spend some more time playing ee to get them for free.
If this never existed before and this was in the game since the beginning of ee, then you wouldn't say that.

These seem a little easy to get but I suppose if they raise the price it could work?
