You didn't get on it after all.
My skip that i use to earn from dragonranger turn into kits, which is useful on everything.
So i used one of my 4 kits, healed myself and continue Owning the hill.

I return to the game. Despite the fact that I no longer have Hypropower, I am still a powerful necromancer and otherwise awesome mage and am able to escape Limbo. I proceed to knock Some Man off the hill with the handle of a sword. My sword becomes an unsuspicious object after I summon an amazing castle with traps and stuff.

I use WorldEdit, select your castle, and type /replace cobblestone lava. You and the hill burn up as I make a new hill made of metal in the sky.

I woke up to realize my house was in the sky because of an explosion. It hits the ground, not knowing it falls on top of all the people who tried to get the hill between these posts. Since you're paper flat underneath my house, you can't get out, and I don't even know what's going on.

My next free hill isn't until 1337. 777 is a jackpot and I used that one to officially found Multiplayer Adventures. And 1000 is 1000. And I am also not squished under a house. I proceed to convince the city officials to move the house on the hill over into the main city. I claim the unoccupied hill.

100, 200, ... 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500, ... 5000, 6000, 7000, ... 10000. Nobody has higher than that so far.

Oh, and more numbers: 777, 1337, 6666, 9001. In order of difficulty.

so I was going like 100, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 666, 700, 750, 777, 800, 900, 999, 1000, 1111, 1234, 1337,     1500, 2000, 2012, 2222, 2500...
