Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Here is an example to test your resizing skills.
Can you increase it by 150% and add pillars to make it a 1:1 square. White pillars if you can.
P.S DISNEY HATERS SUCK!

whooOOOOAAHHHhhhh i did a thing
this is a screenshot from pokemon red, in it's original resolution of 160x144 aka 10:9 :
i "remastered" it in 16:9 aka widescreen, making it 256x144, adding 96 pixels and inscresing the width 1.6 times
it may look crappy but that's because 1. im using windows xp right now now and paint on xp sucks compared to vista xp and 2. it's hard to emulate it in widescreen, but i kept on all the details and tried to make it look natural. also pls suggest some mroe crap.

keep ratio but change dimensions to 2000 by 12 - i guess crop
also people need to be able to identify the nautiluses without having seen the picture before.
if you want to go through extra trouble, find a picture of a starlight gold gamcube and add it to the background of the image to fill in empty spaces.

gameboy and gameboy colour games are 160x144 pixels and 10:9 aspect ratio
here is the title scree of pokemon green horribly remasttered in 16:9 256x144
and the little fight scene in the beginning has black bars on top and bottom, but without them it's 160x80 aka 2:1 aspect ratio
why do i do this
