Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

A big thank-you to Barack Obama, Navy SEALs, and the CIA, we've relieved the world of another horrible, horrible man.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

I read somewhere that the navy-peoples where some of the best soldiers in the navy. The CIA organized the dealio, if i remember correctly, but the navy carried it out.
I've been waiting this for ten years. I was only three (turning four in two less than two months) but I remember my mother waking up around four and just crying. Now I'm thirteen and this happens! I never thought it would happen, I assumed he'd die at like 80 with his son (who we also killed) taking his place. To make it even sweeter, no Americans died, and the only dead innocent was one of bin Laden's four wifes (who he used as a shield). Only her, Osama, their son, his courier, and the courier's brother died. I'm making an announcement in EE now.

^ what browser is that?
Even though today is Monday and the weather in my area is rainy, cold, and gray I feel like everyone is in a great mood. Maybe I'm just imagining this, but I sense a collective feeling that a huge burden has been lifted off our shoulders.
Different55, you're right. Before yesterday, I can't think of a single time in my life where the death of a public figure has prompted almost universal celebration. This just goes to show how that soulless bastard caused so much hurt in this country that we still haven't healed. At least his passing brings us a certain sense of closure.
I'm not celebrating, I'm mourning. No, not really, but I'm Australian and idc bout Obama dieing.
I have 2 questions.
1. What's Al Quada?
2. I thought Osama was Obama's bro...or cuz... or something...

Sorry for the double post, different topic.
Off Topic: ^ You did not double post ;P
On Topic: I'm very happy he is dead..
Al-Qaeda is now going to get mad and want revenge. This might turn out to be an interesting year.
The tin foil hatters is already all over his death. That they apparently shot him and dumped him in the ocean without taking/publishing any pictures of his dead body didn't exactly help.

Al-Qaeda (Wow I dont remember how we spell it) is a terrorist organization. They are like suicide bombers that blow stuff up, such as 9/11, where they took a plane and rammed it into the World Trade Center Buildlings in New York.
2. Osama is NOT Obama's brother..... Obama- President of the U.S.A. Osama- Leader of Al-Qaeda.
I don't agree with celebrating his death, but celebrating the victory/morale boost for us is alright with me. That's just my two cents.
P.S: Sorry if I'm off-topic, I posted this from quick reply on the first page

You're not off topic at all. Today I realized that I'm not happy about Osama Bin Laden's death--I'm simply happy that we caught him and he faced some sort of justice.
I realized this by comparing it to my reaction to Saddam Hussein's capture/execution. All my happiness was the fact that our military finally found him and took him to jail. I was happy that he was no longer able to cause harm to others, and that he would have to answer for the atrocities he committed (Releasing deadly nerve gas on thousands of your own people? That's just sick). When Saddam Hussein was executed, I felt no joy whatsoever.
If Bin Laden had been captured alive, we would all feel the same good feelings, but I suspect that I wouldn't feel nearly as good after his eventual execution was carried out.
I can only speak for myself, but I suspect that many people who are happy about this news are focusing on the "we caught Bin Laden" part, and not the "we shot Bin Laden dead while he was unarmed" part.

Obama gave the order "Kill, don't capture". My guess it that it would bee too difficult to keep Osama in jail, as then it would be possible for AL-Q to threaten America for his release. It would probably also be very costly too keep the worlds most wanted terrorist in jail, as that would require ton of security with a long, costly and probably very biased trial that would be as pointless as the Nuremberg Trials. And a dead Osama is better for Obama is the political game, even though it is not the legally right.
But it will definitely not benefit America in the long run to execute people without any regard for the international laws , and will probably just harm their already extremely low credibility and the middle east extremism will thrive.
Also, I'm still waiting for some proof of that Osama actually is dead.

They found his body, identified him and took several picture isn't proof?
If you're going to say that, then how do you know Australia exists? How do you know California even exists? How do you know the earth is round and clouds are wet?
You just have to trust people sometimes.

You're kidding me, right? Are we honestly doubting that Bin Laden is dead? Or do you think Obama just faked it to up his poll numbers?
Think rationally for a second. If President Obama was lying about Bin Laden's death, Al Qaeda's rebuttal would already be front-page news. Bin Laden would have already released a new, crappy VHS recording to prove he was still alive. (After all, he's been releasing tapes for the last ten years)
It would be political suicide to fake Bin Laden's Death, and Barrack Obama probably wants to see a second term in the White House.
Seriously. Think about it.

Realistically, of course he's dead. Like you said, it would be suicide for any political career to lie about such a thing.
Technically, there has not been much proof given to the public. Maybe a picture or two if you search for it, but that isn't enough for JEC.

I didn't say I didn't think he was dead, and I, in fact, think he is. I was simply backing up watashii's point.
