Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Minecraft fail

Here I was ready to buy minecraft and give Notch my precious $21.95 and I put in my credit card information and it DENIES IT.

I tried it again, but it did it a second time. I tried my mom's card, but then it tells me that it's disabled for 24 hours. I tried my dad's card, not knowing that it was the website itself that was denying the cards after I failed with mine twice.

Then I find out that my card only has $3.42 on it and has for somewhere around a week and a half.

At least I have something to look forward to tomorrow... night.

Damn you, Notch.

Most likely an omen from the Notch gods. Take heed.

Re: Minecraft fail

Sounds like a problem with your credit card, not MC itself.

According to the Minecraft website, 11998 have people bought the game in the last 24 hours. If there was a problem with minecraft.net, there would be about... *counts on fingers* ...0.

Re: Minecraft fail

Nonono, I'm saying minecraft.net is probably blocking payments from my account because I tried and failed twice whilst trying to buy it. Apparently, much like our glorious ruler Benjaminsen, Mr. Persson would absolutely hate it if somebody happened to enjoy his game.

In other news, I'm addicted to the YogCast. They're funny british dudes (and sometimes a chick) that are oblivious to Asian culture.

Re: Minecraft fail

Jad, when you DO buy Minecraft, would you like to join my private server?

Re: Minecraft fail

Oh, I actually meant to put an "s" in "YogsCast"... Don't know what happened.

I'd very much like to join some private servers as soon as I get the basics down (a.k.a. single player survival for the first few days).

Who hosts the EE server?

Re: Minecraft fail

Jad: There are two things you need to know.

1) Have a bunch of wood at all times.

2) Never go to sleep in the Nether.

& I host the server, but it's currently down because I'm getting a strange error report.

Re: Minecraft fail

Well, I'd be happy to play more if it actually wanted to run smoothly. Perhaps I don't have enough RAM...

Re: Minecraft fail

I hate Minecraft. It takes forever to build anything and building it in a 3-d first or third person view makes it 40% worse.

Well, the way I reduced my lag was downloading the Optifine mod, it adds more features to reduce lag. When I first got it, my FPS was increased from about 20 FPS to 66 FPS.

Re: Minecraft fail

I have tons of RAM and yet minecraft is still laggy on my computer even with the settings set to the lowest graphics. I just never set it to Max FPS. I need to try that.

Re: Minecraft fail

I think it's a RAM problem. My new computer will have a much sufficient GPU and 4GB ram, so I should be good in both cases. See the sig for more details.
