Minecraft 1.8

Minecraft is a sandbox game where you collect resources to survive the night.

A little bit information about the new release:

Minecraft's biggest update is about to come, be prepared.
Vines, Melons, Endermen, Abandoned Mine shafts, Rivers, Bigger Biomes, Sprinting, EXP, Different Animations and MORE!
What else could you possibly want?

Heh... Look around in the minecraft forums for a few seconds and I already find the pre-release :3

I don't want it though. I wanna wait like a normal person. The pre-release is probably really buggy and will probably screw up my computer anyways.

Go to bit.ly/18early Then put this file into .minecraft/bin, it will replace the old file.
How to find your .minecraft folder: Go to run and type %appdata%/.minecraft.
That's it.

I think 1.8 looks pretty damn awesome. I'm probably going to change my .jar back to my previous modded version, though.

In the Nether on a server.
It kept burning and died instantly when I hit it with my diamond sword =.=

Speak English and I'll answer your question.
"You can't get past a torch?" What do you mean?
How to go into the Nether:
You need: lava (close to water).
A bucket.
A diamond pickaxe
Flint and steel.
(I know there is natural obsidian, but you find it like never)
What to do:
Fill your bucket with lava.
Go close to the water and dig a hole there (1 block deep, 1 block away from water)
Fill that hole with lava.
Mine the block that is between lava and water.
The water will turn the lava into obsidian.
Mine it with your diamond pickaxe.
Repeat until you have 10 obsidian.
Place them like the right one.
Use Flint and steel on the obsidian.
Done!

I mean, a torch is the most complicated thing I have made so far.

EDIT: can I have a seed for a world with lots of steel and diamond in it?

Maybe you should google Minecraft crafting guide.
And does that mean I made that whole guide even though you didn't want it?
Or did it at least help you.

I do have a crafting guide... It's just really hard to find the things used in it. The guide would help if I knew the easy way to get steel and diamond without going way way waayyy down into caves or going to the other side of the minecraft world... I just need a seed that spawns the character right near some steel and diamond...
PS I only started playing minecraft 5 days ago.

BTW I need to get flint as well...
