Well they wasn't kidding according to the wikia
Minecraft development started around the 10th of May 2009, pre-orders for the full game started being accepted on the 13th of June 2009. Minecraft's official release date is planned to be on the 18th of November 2011
So I guess now the price is increased by 25% since it's officially out and I guess it might be advertised on TV. I hope my computer can run 1.0, but I'm going to wait for my favorite mods to be updated to that first.

I hope my computer can run 1.0, but I'm going to wait for my favorite mods to be updated to that first.
In the statistics my FPS is way higher than it was before, but on the real gameplay it seems the same.
Note: My computer sucks. A lot.

I just bought Minecaft a few days ago and it STILL doesn't work. But I'm excited for 1.0 finally being out :3 but I really expected it to be named 2.0 but I'm a noob at MC so I don't know.

I hope Mojang will still update Minecraft with new Blocks and Ores and Items and stuff, to make it Minecraft 2.0 or something.

Ender Eyes don't work well and are very hard to get until late-game (survival/hardcore)
Both realms are practically unaccessible until late game and require MC's equivalent of grinding (shaft mining and/or aimless wandering+mining)
-- One realm requires that you've visited the other (You have to get to the nether to be able to craft eyes of ender in order to get to the end)
The cons are mostly patience issues, though.
I hate tall signatures.

Didn't this come out, like, a long time ago? I thought they were on 1.8 right now...
For some weird reason, they called it 1.0 instead of 2.0, idk why.

Who told you that nonsense? It was always planned to be released at MineCon, and that wasn't on 11/11/11.
Skrim, however, was released on 11/11/11. Maybe you got the two confused? They're both by Mojang.
