Anyway Updated list:
Add Blastoise, Venusaur, Charizard as seperate characters.
Sothe (Fire Emblem thief would be epic character)
Bowser Jr.

Shy Guy
Banjo and Kazooie

Krystal
Waluigi
King K. Rool
Bring back Dr. Mario, Mewtwo, Roy.

I mean, he's got a billion different types, but they're all virtually useless. They're just the basic foe of Yoshi games. Don't get me wrong, I love Shy Guys. It's just... they're useless.

He could easily have a flame move, hammer move, slingshot move, balloons as ^B or Propellers or Parachute. He could have spears. He knows pretty sweet karate so that's easy to fill in moves. His smash could be stilts. You could come up with tons of ideas for smash move.
he also carries a billion random things with him so why not. If you're going to add another Mario enemy it HAS to be shy guy.

Let me be a bit more In-depth.

I want minecraft steve. With a diamond pickaxe. And a diamond sword smash.

On an unrelated note I'm working on a texture hack that makes Kirby look like an Everybody Edits Smiley.
To Do
-Get Animation files
-Change portrait. (The Little Image At The Damage Meter)
-Change the hats to different smileys.

For some reason brawlbox doesn't work on my cpu :/ I can't change any of the animations.
