I don't know why all of you are debating over these nominees... the choice is obvious.

Way to go, Brobama. I wasn't supporting either of you but I congratulate your achievement. Hopefully you can fix things as you've promised.

Re: 2012 Presidential Election

Congratulations to both Mitt Romney for winning the individual vote giving his all and Barack Obama for winning the final electoral vote as well as the individual vote by a small margin.

[Edit] This has now been confirmed, Romney has announced his concession. There was some dispute about Ohio's final numbers, but it is settled.

Cookies for all. I think we're going to have a good four years ahead of us, but trust me, if anyone's going to be overly-cynical and overly-speculative here it's going to be me.

First of all, something wrong with America != something wrong with the planet.

Second, it's because he has done a lot more than the media likes to feed us, and also because a second term holds so much more potential as compared to just one (especially with a democratic Senate), no matter what the party. There are many other reasons why someone would vote for Obama but they're more controversial.

I personally don't care if Obama doesn't do anything the next 4 years, knowing that Romney would only make them worse.

It's hard to make things any worse...

I just hope Obama doesn't do anything drastic and holds things together, really. Which is probably all Romney would of done as well. It'd take srs skill to make the economy drop further.

@ipwner You're just flaming to offend everyone who supported Romney. It's the immature "I told you so" speech. Get over yourself.

I like how in the beginning Obama had only 3 electoral votes for a while, and that they were from Vermont.

You know what my mom said as soon as I saw her? "The chimp's in for another four years." I wanted to hit her for being so ignorant.

TakoMan02 wrote:

Well-put, I suppose. Government spending, tax revenue, and gas prices, and job unemployment have taken a very nice turn recently, so I wouldn't say Obama is completely detrimental.

Obamacare is debatable, especially in comparison to Romneycare (is that what we're calling it? or "the voucher system"?).

I know I was exaggerating; I'm aware of how he decreased economic decline. However, it has yet to prove substantial enough to overshadow his failures, such as ObamaCare. I'm not saying Romney's version is better, but that doesn't excuse it.

That's like assigning a lost war to the general that takes over because the one who was losing it already, had died.   Doesn't mean he is a bad general, just means he couldn't do anything about it.

Not to mention that same general has soldiers that don't get along with him, like the republican congress and governers who fight against what he is trying to do. It's REALLY hard to get stuff done when the people you are trying to work with to win don't want to...

Did you really know anything about politics, anything at all other than "we el3ctz prez evry 4 yrs". Read what I just said, heck I'll even quote it for you. The fault goes to the Republicans about as much as it does to Obama, maybe even more to Repub's.

Statistics, statistics, relying on statistics eh? The reason is because basically, George Bush set off a BOMB, and it went off right when Obama came into office. He's also trying to improve certain services and such. He did lose some money for the U.S. overall, but seriouslys, he didn't do bad at all, considering the circumstances ! He also is trying to improve certain policies that were poopsh!t before he came into office - USAMA BIN LADEN IS DEAD ^.^! OBAMACARE SAVES LIVES ^.^! As a matter of fact, you are the blind ones who do not see the full picture. Yes, maybe 6 trillion dollars were added to the debt. Statistics, statistics, republicans use - no logic!
One last thought - didn't you see Mitt Romney's concession speech? It kind of seemed like he knew that Obama was the best man for the job... maybe he was starting to realize - this is why I actually kind of pitied Mitt the Twit at that moment! But basically, all Mitt said was that he was going to do what Obama did. (except for things that were just outright ridiculous - he thought illegal immigration = bad, guns = good, and to keep up a strong army... for nothing that was coming -.- AND the man ALSO wanted to lower taxes for the rich, helping the rich and ONLY the rich!) "Yeah! I'll do that too." says Romney on the issues that he has no plan for (the majority of the issues). and if you noticed in the debates he kept on talking about "agreeing" with the president, even though it was a debate - you're supposed to see the differences so you can have a clear decision! Basically, Romney wanted to be the president to please his daddy. Well.. that's great Mitt!? but that's not the best path for the whole of America, the greater good.
As I just told you, the people more in the country side with more stupid white-male farmers are not too bright. Don't listen to them and set your own decisions, kirby! >:0 Republicans = crap!

(MY ENTHUSIASM HAS KIND OF WORN OFF, SO I CAN FINALLY MAKE A LOGICAL ARGUMENT :3)
