Victim of Indian Gang Rape Dies In Singapore Hospital

Title.

The rape alone has sparked major protests and questions over the safety of women in India.

Her death brings increased outrage and has brought into question the performance of the Indian police, and whether or not to dismiss the police chief.

The 23-year-old girl, who put up a brave battle for life after she was gangraped and brutally assaulted in a Delhi bus a fortnight ago that had created a nationwide outrage, died early this morning in a hospital here.

I don't quite understand that, rape has always been an issue before and goes back 3000 years possibly more. Even though this person has my sympathy the world is exactly the same as it has been way past recorded memory.

Regretfully India not only lessens the value of women, they can't have a single police officer or concerned passerby help. And where was the bus driver in all this while she was being raped for over an HOUR? I wonder how they most feel, the passerbys who showed little more than apathy to this. To know that they very well could be the reason she is dead right now, after everyone failed to help her?

Would law enforcement and national politicians been more concerned if the victim had been their wife, mother, daughter or sister? Or have they already demoted them to second-class citizens? This disgusts me.

And these men should be put to death for what they have done, perferably in the same way they did to this woman.
