Background outside level?

I noticed that there was a gray background as I was around the edge of the map. Nothing big just kind of weird and I wanted to point it out.

I sense hoax. Either you did something to the outside background (i.e. the image behind the game) or your EE site is broken.

No actually the purple block is part of the background on the beta site with the smileys in it.

No I'm really not making this up, I was laying bricks and the background was flickering from gray to black. Not sure what it is.
I'm on chrome and this was after the update.

I actually did it again with the top side. I can show it again if you   need more proof.

Happened to me as well, although with me it went away when I could see more than one row of the outside.
