Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I think the EE forums should turn on the Cash mod. We can call it Coins! Or Gems, or Points, or Bricks, or really anything EE-related. I really like Coins and Bricks. Give more for making topics in serious forums like Forum Discussion and Bug Reports, and less for posts in Off-Topic, and none for Forum Games. And we could have a shop, like this or this.

Anyone? Yay or nay?

I guess

Nice idea you have there.
eh but everyone that has posted before wouldn't have that cash or coins or gems, it wouldn't be fair

Nay. I can see people abusing this and having a bunch of spam topics in the forums. It would be like asking to be a mod, every noob would do it, constantly.

Let's look at it like this; NoobA posts and gets a coin. It is deleted and he loses the coin. NoobA want's his coin back and keeps posting. I have no problem with the idea but it would cause a lot of work for staff.

That's why you post a topic explaining it, and if something like that happens, just point them in that direction.
That wouldn't do anything. One of the first pages you see when signing up is the rules. Do people still break the rules? Yes. A lesser example, one of the buttons up there is the FAQ. What's the first question?
Can I have mod? (Do Not Ask This)
If you have to ask, the answer is pretty much "No".
Does Cyclone still get messages asking to be a mod every day? Yes.
Although a reasonable alternative could be you don't unlock the feature until you get 250 posts. If they spammed these posts, they would be banned before 250. Like I said, I'm not against the idea.

Good idea, but I would bump it up a bit. Maybe 400 or 500.
And I also think you shouldn't be able to go on past the rules page in signing up for two minutes. They'll get bored and read the rules while they're waiting.
500 might be too high. Sure it's a fun privilege but we don't want it to be too exclusive. For example, Danni, a person who I think is a very good poster, has not reached 500 posts.

I think bricks sounds the best.
Nay. This would be terrible to do by hand, would encourage spamming, and it just complicates things. For now, at least until the real shop is finished, NAY.

I do think this forum should have something a little more fun. Or at least more EE-related.
What if we changed "reputation" to "coins". Like, instead of adding a +rep you add a +coin. And -coin.
You think it sounds weird, but +rep and -rep are equally weird, you're just used to saying it a lot.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

Yes this would cause much work for the mods, i guess if someone could think of a good no0n abusible idea it would be cool.

i think ive suggested this before. we never added it because the shop isnt done being coded yet. we need to wait until the shop is done. the shop can have items like remove a minus rep, remove a warning, etc.

You REALLY want to get rid of your warnings, don't you?
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

People that don't post as much wouldn't get as many "coins". This really isn't fair, since the majority of the people that don't post much are posting intelligent things. Adding a reward to posting a lot means people will post more than they need to. This will lead to tons of useless posts such as "cool idea" and "I like it" just to earn coins.

Tentative yea
