Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Adjectives aren't flaming. I edited it because you were bothering me about it. You're welcome. Now how about you get back on topic?
I'm pretty sure it isn't an adjective though.
And for the sake of contributing, I don't especially care that people do that, as post count I do not care about, and you don't have to read it again. You could just move on.
I wanna say "Get back on-topic or face the wrath of my WARNING stamp." but the WARNING stamp only works on normal users....

We are not talking about making topics, we are talking about replying. Sure it is less lazy to make a full reply but this, (quote) this, and this, (restate post in your own words), have the same effect.
Good point, but even so, doesn't it annoy you in the least when someone points out a point that was already made? Is it contributing to the thread in any way?
F. One word posts, or just in general useless posts that contribute nothing, such as 'inb4lock' or 'lol' are considered spam and will result in warnings.
When someone states their opinion, they have contributed to the topic. When you say "this", it is not contributing, for it has already been contributed.

Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

I actually prefer when people quote and say this. I don't like reading the same reply twice, if that makes sense.
Regardless, the duplicate is usually not contributing, therefore spam.

Let me try to elaborate. Each new color represents a new opinion.

By simply disallowing replicate opinions, look at what we get:

Less repeating of what we already know, more gets accomplished. Isn't that what we want in a topic? To solve an issue or to hear solutions from the public?

We're allowed to voice our opinions, aye? Then what's the big difference between:
Nub1 wrote:I liek ham
This
and
I liek ham
I also liek ham
? The only real difference is that just saying "This" takes up less of both the typer and the reader's/readers' time.
EDIT: Just realized that Tako's post above mine is saying that we aren't allowed to have the same opinion as anyone else.

Honestly, if you don't have anything original to contribute to a topic, you shouldn't post anything at all.
It should be like this:
I like ham.
I also like ham. It's delicious and is filling.
It's pointless to just quote something and say 'this' when you could add-on to that statement, or even worse, just quote it and don't say anything at all, which is probably spam.

It's technically spam, because you're not contributing in any way.
If you agree with someone, either quietly congratulate yourself in the corner or extend on their point.
But then no one knows your opinion. You should go sit in the corner and congratulate yourself for making this.
This.
It's a legitimate persuasion technique- the more people in agreement, the more forceful their point will be. Sure it could be even more powerful with a full critique, but this could, possibly, ruin the point altogether.
I think it is acceptable, as long as it dosent become a quote train that nobody ccccombo bbbbreaks.

Hmmm, I clicked in here expecting the topic post to start with 'IS SPARTAAAAA'.
Anyway, yeah, it seems like it should be fine. Even quote trains containing nothing but the original text should be ok, since they are just saying that these people are repeating what the first guy said. The only thing I find annoying is when some guy quotes the topic post with nothing or quotes another guy with no reply in a way that makes absolutely no sense.
lul. I thought the same as in the bold. Takoman, when you say 'this' or anything else, you are(in a way) actually contributing to the topic by supporting someone's opinion. I see nothing wrong with it, and it doesn't even seem like spam.

I think I said this earlier, but it's infinitely better to expand on their point and actually contribute instead of putting your 'two-bits' in the conversation. You can still support someone while contributing at the same time.
Let me give another example:
You see someone donating 10 dollars to one of those Santa charities. Then, you come along and say "I agree with what he just did," then just walk off.
I think you just 'persuaded' everyone around you, but in a very minuscule way that just wasted everyone's time. Even if 10 people came after you and also agreed with what the first person did, it's still not getting anywhere. The purpose of the topic (or in my example, Santa) is to collect opinions, not your approval of someone else's opinion.
Yeah, well, you know that's just like, uh, your opinion, man.

You are the President of the United States. The governor of Rhode Island is rioting the nation. You say "No."
You gave one extreme example, I gave another.
As you may have noticed, I also had said:

I kinda half agree on this topic.
Sometimes its spam. :/
Sometimes its the right thing to say

I'm sure whatever the opinion is, it doesn't require someone else's approval.
