Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

We need Your ideas
Alright, the time has come. It's time for us to accept Your opinions and suggestions about the gameplay and modes. We have to get some ideas to keep the gameplay fascinating even for users who've played since the start of the old Yo!Scroll.
We would be very happy if many people could help us achieve our goal of entertaining EE players. And by ideas, we don't mean colors or new patterns, but gameplay-changing things like new modes, special traps (even I'm not sure about this one), and random things. Random-related stuff boost everything, because it makes things magical.
We hope many great ideas are going to born!

First poster here. May as well be useful.
How about adding some minis for people that are bored? I'm pretty sure there is more room to the left of the boss area. You know, where you placed the tinyurl.com/inv-build link.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- HURRY UP WITH THE PATTERN SUBMISSIONZ.

Would this also be an engine submission topic?
How bout bombs and coins. Bombs (black bricks with spikes around them) kill you and coins allow you to survive once.

I have an idea. Uze moar tallmod.
So im guessing Yo!Scroll survived the whole invisible portal thing:D
Anyway here are my ideas:
Modes
-Mixture Mode (A mix of normal, simple, insane and ghost)
-Long Mode (Like normal mode but the mini games are longer in size)
-Speed mode (The speed gets gradually quicker and quicker until the fastest available speed)
-Key Mode (All the key gates and doors, basically its like a survival)
-Repetitive mode (The same minigame over and over and over...)
Also the gameplay is fine, theres no need to alter it.
I think Yo!Scroll is awesome btw.

I think I suggested this in the original thread but it got rejected due to the game disliking spam, but what about a mode that /kills any user that moves to the left? All the minis are possible without going backwards, so this could be interesting. To evade the whole spam thing, every person that moves backwards could be put on a queue to be /killed. Also there should be a special color for this mode so that you aren't taken by complete surprise when the game decided to use that mode.

Not bad, we'd just have to predefine possible bomb spots... (To keep every pattern possible.)
The problem is with the style. Bombs and other very evil things don't really seem to fit the world of Yo!Scroll.

We're already adding different ones sometimes the level is opened. In the original map design, I tought about your idea too, but then it just got rejected to make the map look more minimalistic. But we're still not sure...

Mixture mode wouldn't look really great if you ask me (because of the ghost mode), but it may be good.
Long mode already exists ( = straight mode).
Speed isn't related to mode, but we may make some speed-related changes in the future.
Key mode could be easily cheated.
Thanel (if I know right) has already suggested repetitive mode, but even he said that it would be totally boring.

Great idea, we just need an indicator for non-chatters... (Text blocks would be nice | Or scrolling level title? )

I'd suggest adding a blind modifier.
It has a chance to be enabled every round (just like color changes, modes).
With it enabled, solid blocks will be converted into invisible blocks after they have passed 50% of the area.
Players tend to be in the left side of the "snake" 75% of the time so this will change the gameplay a lot.
I'm obviously posting this here to get some feedback from the community before implementing it.
I have never thought of programming for reputation and honor. What I have in my heart must come out. That is the reason why I code.

I has idea.
Have two bots, one in the actual world and one in a place for minis when waiting for the next round. A world portal is put in both worlds leading to each other. When the round ends, the bot in the minigame world /resets the level, putting the users in a trap, forcing them into the original world if they desire, and the Yo!Scroll Inf bot waits for 5 seconds or something for the people in the minigame world to get back to the main world.

How about a "direction changer" that changes the direction of the patterns from left to right or vice versa mid-game?

How about, when there is a change of mode (meaning something other than the standard version), at the beginning of a round, that shows the mode? It would be written in the same colored background (normal bg pack) as the logo/"scroll line"
So, for insane (gray):
See how the "insane" is colored? The background color matches the "scroll line". (The backgrounds should come from the Normal background pack.)

It's graphically a good idea, but I don't want to program coordinates D:

Oh come on, we can load a font file...

Windy mode? It has lines of random arrows streak through for like 5 secs and then disappears. You could make the blocks "solid" and then the arrows be "non-solid" or "changeable". Of course, I haven't an idea on how to code, so...
