Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

I think these are things you hate... I am a fan of most of these and enjoy a challenge.
Nice topic, and i agreed with you!
Steve, if you like a challenge then how can you like those minis? Please specify which ones are challenging.
I agree with Chimi mostly but I like hook jumps(I think it's because I'm good at it and I like seeing all the noobs failing while I can do it easily.).
Unfortunately, for art purposes, alot of the time you have to use secret block.
OOPS. Just realised I used a secret path in one of my levels :O. *changes it*

Add the levels where you start off trapped. They are so annoying and if there was good stuff later in it, you don't even get to experience it...

Good tips
Even though I agree with some stuff, there are some things I don't understand, so I'll go from point to point.
1.- Agreed, these levels don't look "cool" at all when those titles are featured.
2.- Agreed, unless the coins have a lot of space between them, and, as you said, are used for challenge awards.
3.- I don't actually agree on this one. It may be old, but so is platforming, which is the base of almost every map I've seen. Although there are paths that are extremely hard, this dots should be used as a challenge (Probably near the end of the maps, since it's considered "hard", depending on the length). If we can't have different minigames, everything will get repetitive, so it's nice having one of these.
4.- Agreed; use them in small quantities.
5.- I disagree. This is one of the minigames which I've seen that the users hate the most, which I don't understand. It is one of my favorites, and again, without these, we won't have any variety. It also depends of your skills; some people may have trouble beating just a single walled hook jump, while others can jump up to 10 no-walled hook jumps, so, you just have to practice, and get better, and soon you'll see you will be able to finish all these. If you are too lazy to practice to beat this one, then I don't think you should play challenges; just art levels or those generic, repetitive huge levels, with no background. Remember; practice makes perfect.
6.- Agreed; should be used in small quantities.
7.- They may not require so much skills, but, it's still a minigame. I've seen people fail on this, so it's actually quite challenging for the very beginner. I don't see why not having at most one of these in your maps, since users don't seem to mind (Of course they get angry if there are 50 drop'N'Jumps, but, to be honest, that would happen with almost every continuous minigame). And again, we need diversity.
8.- You're right about the fact that there shouldn't be too many of these on the level, but I consider them fun. And, it's easier than most of the other games you've mentioned, so the beginners might actually like them.
9.- 100% Agreed. These suck. Seriously, don't use them. It angers everyone.
10.- Again, having atleast one of these in your maps may be quite challenging, and I in fact like them. As I said before, practice makes perfect, and I don't consider this to annoy too much people; unless they're lazy or just don't want to try hard enough. It depends on your skills; people might do them first try or after 2 hours, but just keep practicing, and you'll find these to be easy, and not time-consuming/rage-inducing.
11.- Agreed; the fact that this is how most maps start saddens me. There's no creativity at all in these, and, if you're going to choose poorly and do this, atleast make them good. I hate when the key is activated and you see pieces of background missing. I mean, couldn't you make sure that the background was completed?
So, please, don't use these, and if you do (hope not), use them correctly.
12.- Agreed; should be used in small amounts. Long minigames with these are just luck-based and rage inducing.
13.- Agreed. Although I like a key combination where you must get through one (Yes, just ONE, not more) of these before the key blocks deactivate, but when used as you show in the image, they're annoying and time consuming.
14.- I don't know if this was done before the lock-on to blocks, but these don't seem to annoy too much if just used once per map. They may not be very creative, but, it's still a minigame.
15.- Agreed, but sadly, it's not the map makers who give fake codes; it's usually the first guy who gets it and trolls very quietly the map, by changing the letters/numbers or blocking it with an invisible block. If the map creator is in his/her map, they may change it back and ban, but sadly, thats not always the situation, as I have seen in my maps. After people changing it more than 4 or 5 times, you just get annoyed and don't want to change it again, since the people will troll once again. So, this one is not the creators fault (Some are, but not most of them), but the trolls.
16.- Agreed, should not be used more than once, and if used, don't use them in a whole map. They're luck based and not fun.
Anyways, thanks for reading if you read it all, and hope that you understand my point of view.
Scruffy Puppy.
If you use those,your a nub,that's all I've gotta say...PeaceOut
Well, using titles with spaces inbetween isn't as annoying. Many worlds that were frontpaged on ee were like 'N I N J A minigames'. I agree with coins, that can be annoying. Paths of dots is a challenge though Although I agree, many can be annoying when u fall. Elevators is just another challenge. If they're skinny THATs where they get annoying D; Hookjumps aren't bad unless u have lag or they are stacked high. Icicles are pure skill
Drop n' drops aren't that annoying but aren't challenging. Low ceiling drops DO include a certain element of skill, but only noobs can't complete them. I agree with traps. Pixel jumps involve skill and timing though
Stairs are awesome
Stickyjumps and tightfits - i agree. Pixel drops are easy unless ur moving at lightspeed. Fake codes i totally agree, nuffin moar annoying than that!!!
and with mazes, i dunt mind but i guess some people do
Oh and you could add shuffle-drops. Y'know when you only have 1 block between steppping stones and u cant jump and have to use pure skill to cross, those are extemely annoying when in rows.

I just wanted to say I disagree with a lot of things on this list. I've been playing this game on Kongregate for a year+ and though I am not a "noob" things like these are fine in moderation. (I'm not defending the stupid stuff like inescapable traps or poor level names or thousands of coins or fake codes.)
But things like "hook jumps" "low ceiling jumps" "elevators".. pretty much everything you mentioned are not a big deal. For one thing just because they are popular and/or used everywhere does not make it unoriginal just as the fact that people use facebook and twitter does not make them unoriginal. They just happen to be well known, easy to make and simple (usually) to complete. There is no harm in that. They are like EE staples. If you don't like them and are tired of them, I can understand that, but just don't play that level. Advising people not to use them seems a bit like overkill. You're basically saying make every single level difficult but in an unorthodox way which is not fair to people who are new to the game, or even veteran users who just like to kick back. I often like to do the mindless games for awhile while I listen to music or even watch some show on Youtube or something. Its simple but entertaining. And I've found myself gradually build up different skills from coming across "original" minis or challenges in small quantities. Its no fun if you go into a level and everything is so difficult and unrecognizable that it is practically impossible to complete. So while some of these things are overused, commonplace does not necessarily equate to unoriginal, boring, or "noobish".
Though Hookjumps I really don't understand or Low Ceiling jumps. I feel like those take a certain amount of skill, but once you learn them they are not annoying at all. Also they can be made more complicated if they are open on both sides or if it is a left opened hookjump instead of the standard right open. One space hookjumps are also an interesting variant which requires really good timing.
Chimi i think you also should add nameless titles so stupied
You forgot CODE IS 1234 TROLL worlds
lol

Fail, you should read the rules too megapants
1. Don't just write lol in a post
2. Double post
You forgot CODE IS 1234 TROLL worlds
Yes, perhaps you should add Zakleo's suggestion. Mention that these suck, are nooby, and, honestly, have no point to them if they even are real. Mention to, that ones that say "no troll," will ALWAYS be trolled.
Ok. You should read the topic I made on hooks. It seems that most people like 'em.
Chimi you missed mase's
i find most of these fun except:
fake codes
stairs
inescapable traps
arrow jumps
Stairs are fully overused... i hate them the much
Are there any fun minigames?
I love hookjumps! I hate sticky hookjumps, but I wouldn't mind if a user made a large tower of normal ones.
