Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

Everybody Edits Throughout The Ages

Long ago, an ancient being created the powerful framework for the all-encompassing network we know as the internet. Since then, a prophecy has long since been foretold, one that speaks of a game born of Facebook smileys and slightly edited Mario assets, one that would prove powerful enough to take over the tri-state area. Then, one fateful day, in the midst of 2010, the prophecy came true. Legends have speculated for a decade the origins of this long-awaited game, theorizing about the trials and tribulations of those forces behind it.

Nowadays, we all know Everybody Edits. Of course, you do know what it is, don't you? Of course you do, everyone knows, but just how much do you really know? Do you think you know the truth behind the legends? Do you have all of the knowledge necessary to dispel the myths, or even yet, to prove them true? Well, you're in luck, because I have been blessed with such knowledge, and I, Minimania, in celebration of meeting the utmost sacred of all post-counts on these forums, am here to tell you the TRUTH of Everybody Edits.

Here, in 2020, we have experienced a plague that which the likes of humanity and smileys everywhere have not yet experienced. Those not stricken by this pestilence have been doomed to staying inside for the unforetold future. However, those of us in the Cult of EE had smiles on our faces when we were given the warning. We knew, that our time had come.

We few only knew of a few methods to acquire the information from Master Xenonetix. We tried everything. We gathered as many books of knowledge as we could, searched the worlds for hidden map block easter eggs, set our campaigns to Insane, and gathered our 3 blue keys. Finally, putting all of these things together, and working our skills to the highest of their capabilities, we completed the sacred Three Blue Key method, and with this ancient ritual, we unlocked the sacred knowledge that which we were fated to be blessed with.

The old Gods of the Lost Planet of Nonoba stood atop their ancient sacred sandwiches, plopping their orange feet down in creative thought. Then, they pushed forth an idea, producing a being. This being is known as Chris Benjaminsen. Throughout the generations, Chris Benjaminsen's sacred line has been passed on through all of the curators of Everybody Edits, where they worked hard to uphold the spring of magic he provided for us. When it was time for him to pass on, we all grieved, sorrowful that our savior was leaving for good.

However, the next day, we all rejoiced in gratitude as he entered into a stage of rebirth, calling himself Mr. Shoe. Mr. Shoe was a very powerful being, one that created many changes to our worlds as we know it. He even revisited the timelines to give us a piece of history from the ancients. And yet, Mr. Shoe was also a curious one. He dabbled much in the dark arts, exploring the underpotential with a mysterious being known as Mr. Void.

When the community discovered our messiah was steeped in the shadow, a long outcry was drawn from our hearts. As a means of punishing us, for having tainted our souls against the ways of the savior, Mr. Void drew upon a plague of zombies. In despair, Mr. Shoe realized the costs of what he had done. Then, in that moment, he gave us a hero. He gave us Bruce. Bruce fought the plague, using a powerful set of potions he gained from a potion seller, and he eventually drove it back straight to its source. Mr. Void, defeated, then left the game, but not without sucking the energy from Mr. Shoe. In his moment of weakness, Mr. Shoe took an extended vacation in order to preserve his remaining life force, and to preserve the sacred line of curation. In the span of a year and a half, he had many sons and daughters, splitting his powers amongst all of them. Many great legends came forth; Processor, Toop, Kiraninja, Nou, NVD, Phinarose, and many, many more.

In this new, third generation, the worlds began to grow back to their naturalistic roots. The plague was no more, and in order to keep it that way, these legendary beings blessed onto our people the Gift of Effects, allowing us to store a Great Blessing of Health with us wherever we went. Then, they descended into our worlds, and gave us a calling. Many sacred quests lie right on our doorstep, waiting to be conquered, and those of us who went the extra mile to do so were gifted with powers beholdent to the most skilled of all professionals. All of those who trekked along on these campaigns were reinvigorated with energy, and many more had a lot to gain along the way, as well.

However, in the midst of all of this, a power struggle was beginning to take place. All of the descendants of Mr. Shoe took on his many different skills, and those with the most vital of those skills were pushing forward a new direction for the future. The community could not help but to watch in anxiety and woe, seeing the generations of seeded land they spent years tending to meet an uncertain fate. Eventually, though, two of these beings remained; Emalton and Megalamb. On that fateful day, a Great Duel sprung forth, and these two fought for one day and one night, until the grand winner, Megalamb, came out on top.

After his fateful win, Megalamb took up the Lost Title of Xenonetix, and took up the mantle of curating the game all on his own design. It was now the 4th generation of Everybody Edits' long lived sacred line, and many new sacred beings were born from it; Gosha, LukeM, Minisaurus, Zoey2070, Capasha, and many, many more. Also Minimania but screw that guy. This era brought along a lot of new changes. Great expanses in science led to the discovery of thee Universe around us. Many tried replicating the natural ways of our world, to varying but little success. A great deal of music filled our ears, while many new quests were wrought upon the most skilled of our people. In our shining victory, we offered Xenonetix a gift of our humble gratitude; the finest servings of chocolate in the land. However, he was displeased with our efforts. In fear of termination, many of the sacred peoples of this generation fled to live among us mortals, and in their stead, they have grown to be a huge part of our culture, spreading their influence wherever they went.

Our punishment came to be quite drastic, however, as we were given the most difficult of quests. Not even the sacred influence of these people could help us through the most insane quests. Those who were skilled enough to challenge Xenonetix were turned into ancient Red Dragons or skeletal Red Demons. Those who were unfortunate enough to not stand a chance against these quests were forced inside, as the plague had finally begun anew. Then, in a single waking moment of clarity, Xenonetix realized just what he had done. In his final moments of life, as the demons drew near, he signed a pact with Satan(ya) herself, who had planted her own agent of chaos amongst the staff, Mutantdevle, just a short while before. Now, Everybody Edits Universe lies in the hands of the underworld, and we have all been saved from imminent gestation, as Flash has begun to keel over and dissolve itself. The current future is unknown, but now that the game has reached this bottomless pit, there is only one way to go; up.

With the ancient prophecies now being dissected and provided for you all, I must ask a powerful eldritch question. Which generation of EE's long lived line of ownership was your favorite, and why? Which one gave you the most to look forward to every day, and which one changed your life the most?

This post is a celebration of reaching 5757 posts on these forums. Stay meme-y, my friends, and woot on.
