afaid i think it wont be happen in EE an dEEU eventhoguh the idea is solid
reasons:
EE: dead game ca nonly be played for like 5 monhts
EEU: we already have/get edit zones

since nobody has said it yet, the primary problem with this is hackers. hackers can just tell the server "yeah i touched this block", instantly get edit, and troll everything. so even then, you'd probably want to limit it to a zone like how it is in EEU. and at that point, go play eeu.

since nobody has said it yet, the primary problem with this is hackers. hackers can just tell the server "yeah i touched this block", instantly get edit, and troll everything. so even then, you'd probably want to limit it to a zone like how it is in EEU. and at that point, go play eeu.

This is why they should have some sort of advanced detection where they should be able to detect abnormal movement packet and decide whether if they deserve edit or not.

first of all, he suggests the solution to this, read his post one more time

secondly, it's very hard to make proper movement anticheat for ee without having much resources and capable programmer

lastly, the core idea is broken. Giving people edit with the edit block gives them the opportunity to destroy build block. If you wish to make it unremovable by anyone other than the host, you are moving the problem just to another step. Anyone can just seal off the block and make it inaccessible.

There is no practical way to protect the build block unless you protect the whole path from spawn to the build block. And that reminds me of a solution that has been already found: Build areas.

Well i think this is a risk that should be avoided and not mitigated. Maybe improving the game server and client security can prevent any problem relating to hackers...

what about the ogdmode block? its the smae thing pople can just cheat themselves to it and then fly to the end

pretty much, also god mode block is less harmful (not harmless) compared to edit block as you can pretty much change the world when you shouldn't be in the first place (if you cheated).

imagine the block was so hard coded hat it couldbe be cheated and all aan troller joins finishes the map fair touches block and trolls world what did u ahcive?
