Lost a day's worth of posts in that upgrade. That was exhausting but less than 20 posts is probably worth the continued existence and security of the server.

What y'all don't realise is that Diff gets to spend all the warning points that forumers receive in a little shop and he finally got enough points to upgrade the forums to level 7. Now that the forums is level 7 it has gained a stat boost to maximum characters per post, a stat boost to maximum forum users, a 1.5x multiplier to defence against forum raids, and over 200 new options for randomly generated names in anon topics! He's also unlocked the ability to buy a new forum staff member slot, a new subforum slot, and +1 reroll on the heading for the Landfill section. There has also been an increase to the amount each stat is boosted by when he spends points on those. Given the current state of the forums though, I think Diff is just going to keep saving his points to purchase level 8 sometime next year.

Just a boring security upgrade. Found out last night at 10PM that the version of the OS we were using (Debian Jessie) hits EOL on June 30, 2020

Wiki is back online. Somehow never noticed that it wasn't getting captured in the database backups. Thankfully, was able to pull it out of the corrupted database and restore it. The wiki has been added to the backup routine and a new whole-server backup routine is in place to ensure something like this can't happen again.
