Welcome to Mafia 31!

Rules:

1. Respect everyone, it's just a game, don't be a jerk.
2. Do not gamethrow. Play your role to win even if it seems dire, you never know what might happen.
3. Only discuss the game in this thread, or threads I assign to you.
4. Dead men tell no tales. Please use the graveyard thread if you have been eliminated.
5. Make all night actions via PM to me.
6. Don't use the mod text color please.
7. Try to post at least once every 24 hours.
8. Days will last 72 hours, nights will last 24 hours.
9. If you break the rules I will be rather ornery.
10. Have fun!

The setup:

You thought that nothing in your little village could go wrong. Sure, there were a few unsavoury people around, but what town doesn't? Things were going fine. Until one morning, you left your house, and were perplexed to discover that there was two of everything! Looking to the left of your house, you saw your house, or at least what looked like your house! As everyone emerged from their houses, it was surprising to find that there was also double the number of people! But you couldn't recognise anyone, not the seven from your town, not the seven from the ersatz town that arrived overnight, and certainly not the mysterious drifter that seemed to be from both universes and neither at the same time...

Lynching rules:
Each day the highest lynch target from each universe with the most votes are eliminated.
If there is a tie in one of the universes at the end of the day, the result will be a nolynch scenario for that universe.
All votes can be added/removed until the deadline.

Mafia Universe Cop Alpha/Omega:

You are the Mafia Universe Cop. You are in universe [?]. Your teammate is [?]. You may communicate at any time in this Private Chat: [?].
Every night, you may discover which universe a player is in.
Each night, as a team you may kill another player in the game, however, this will only succeed if that player is in your universe.
You will win when all of the members of the town in your universe are dead.

Mafia Backup Alpha/Omega:

You are the Mafia Backup. You are in universe [?]. Your teammate is [?]. You may communicate at any time in this Private Chat: [?].
In the case that your teammate dies, you will gain their ability.
Each night, as a team you may kill another player in the game, however, this will only succeed if that player is in your universe.
You will win when all of the members of the town in your universe are dead.

Town Universe Cop Alpha/Omega:

You are the Town Universe Cop. You are in universe [?].
Every night, you may discover which universe a player is in.
You will win when all of the members of the mafia in your universe are dead.

Town Faction Cop Alpha/Omega::

You are the Town Faction Cop. You are in universe [?].
Every night, you may discover which faction a player is in. [Town/Mafia]
You will win when all of the members of the mafia in your universe are dead.

Town Mason Alpha/Omega:

You are the Town Mason. You are in universe [?].
You have the ability to communicate through secret channels with the Town Mason in the other universe here: [?]
You will win when all of the members of the mafia in your universe are dead.

Town Vanilla Alpha/Omega:

You are a Town Vanilla. You are in universe [?].
While you don't have any special abilities, you have the power of your voice and your vote. And the second best flavour of icecream!
You will win when all of the members of the mafia in your universe are dead.

Town Vanilla Alpha/Omega:

You are a Town Vanilla. You are in universe [?].
While you don't have any special abilities, you have the power of your voice and your vote. And the second best flavour of icecream!
You will win when all of the members of the mafia in your universe are dead.

Drifter:

You are the Drifter. You do not belong to either universe, but float between them.
Every night you will choose a universe to belong to temporarily. For all purposes of votes, mafia kills, and cop checks, you will be affected by your choice. You're an affable person and will always appear to be "Town" when checked by a cop. You cannot be lynched Day 1.
You will win if you survive to the end of the game.

Game End:
When a universe concludes its game (either by all town or all mafia dying), those players will be removed, and the remaining players will continue until their game concludes.

Not convinced shadow is mafia. His initial reaction was kind of dramatic, but that's not enough for me to want to lynch them. On the other hand, they haven't done anything to make me believe they're town either. If we lynch them, and they're town, we need to look closely at those that pushed this wagon.

I'd go along with lynching inactives, I guess. There not much else to go by. I'd vote for either ele or andy. Kirby is always like this. He shouldn't even be allowed to sign up anymore.

I want peace lynched because he annoys the **** out of me.

If one of the universe cops knows what universe Kira is from, and knows hes lying, they should speak up.

I'm giving kira and luka a scum lean, questioning shadow, and tagging task as town. I dont feel like quoting a bunch of **** atm to explain my reasonings. I might do it later.

Welcome back to Mafia 31: When Two Universes Collide

I'm masterjawapa, the lead announcer for this contest. As always, MutantTurtleDevon joins me as the professional game analyzer.

The town stumbled a bit heading into D2: sending one of their own to the guillotine, and losing another to the mafia, and having the alignment of several players discovered.

I gotta ask, Devon, do you think the town is still in a position to gain a win? Or did killing one of their teammates, and giving a list of people to kill next, cripple their chances?

I didn't pick kirby because kirby sucks at mafia, and does this every game. I didn't pick zelda because he was really quiet the last game, so it's normal behavior. That leaves you and crybaby. I just picked one. I want you all to do more, but I can't cast 4 votes.

Peaces counter to Kira's claim feels super late and awkward. Peace is alpha. As you said, we know that from the D1 vote. That doesnt mean hes not mafia.

Either way, one of them should lynched today. If it's the wrong one, alpha will be badly handicapped.

I need to do some more reading, but itll be after I get some breadcrumbs.

Wow! What a turn of events, right MatuntGerbel?

I really was not expecting Peace to make a power move like that. He has really turned the town upside down with this play. These are the kind of next level plays that are learned through years of experience. If hes mafia, hes got the town in the palm of his hand.

It looks like he's backing Kira into a corner. It'll be interesting to see if kira can get out of this situation. As a seasoned player, he has the skills necessary to flip the towns way of thinking.

My prediction, MartinDixon, is that the town gives kira the rope tonight, and the mafia catches another power role in N2. This could be what puts the nail in the coffin for Universe Alpha

Peaces counter claim feels odd. It doesnt feel like a level 100 play that peace would do. And it was super delayed. Therefore, I feel like he has a teammate who's helping him with this.

Either hes mafia, trying to get a cheap kill, or hes a Mason who is positive kira is scum.

I'd suggest lynching peace first, and if hes town, then lynch kira amd hope were not going down a rabbit hold.
