Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

EE Appreciation

I graduated from college recently and am in my childhood home for a few weeks before a job starts. I was sitting in bed on my computer when I thought about EE, because thats where I played it throughout middle/highschool. I hopped on this forum to check out whats been happening (a whole lot of... nothing?). And then I started reading through old threads of mine and started thinking about how **** WEIRD ee was.

I mean- it was a pretty stupid idea for a game, wasn't it? But somehow it turned into this niche experience where people were actually creating insane things. Like- there was actual talent involved. Admittedly, talent that couldn't be applied anywhere else, but talent nonetheless.

Crews existed, and functioned as little hierarchical subcultures . There were even well known RIVALRIES. On a game of jumping circles!

We even developed our own brand of classism. The senior members of the game versus the new people. The skilled versus the unskilled.

My most embarrassing moments are documented on this forum. I spent an unreasonable amount of time debating, planning, writing, talking.. etc on this site. You can read through my posts and see time pass. Isn't that **** wild? All because of a game that started by ripping off the sprites from FACEBOOK.

Idk man. This has no real purpose other than nostalgia.

Maybe I'm tripping, but EE was wildin. Thats pretty neat.

EE is Mario Maker before Mario Maker was made. Change my mind.

You know when the game existed for a very long time when people start referring to some things as "classic"

e.g. Classic Minecraft

Re: EE Appreciation

Any game I played as a kid was insane. So many experiences. So many things in video games--details, NPCs, enemies, systems... as a kid this was not overwhelming but rather extremely intriguing.

EE was no different. When I played this game as a kid, there were other kids who also felt the same way. Bring us together and crazy ensues.

It truly was a nostalgic, wild experience.

Re: EE Appreciation

2013+ ee users will never understand how good the experience was back in 2010-2012 when the game was good and there were still people that played
and before luke shows up, no not your hypothetical ripoff spinoff copy clone cookie cutter game either, much like the actual universe that **** will be mostly empty too

2010-2012 was the best, 2013 was okay but increasingly **** the more MrShoe **** with it

"few months ago", I haven't played ee in over a half of a year.
Personally It was fun before the summer of 2018, later it just was non stop drama and boredom.
But ee lost all it's fun after slow development of Nou era, I don't remember having actual fun since that time.

Gosh 2011 was amazing, I would give everything I can to play it again. Can I say the same about ee in 2014-2019? Definitely no

Re: EE Appreciation

Let's try and keep the appreciation appreciative please.

No need to hate on the game if you don't like it anymore. Some people still do.

One bot to rule them all, one bot to find them. One bot to bring them all... and with this cliché blind them.

Re: EE Appreciation

To be honest, I think that the current version of the game with all its features would be just as fun as the 2010-2012 days if it had the same player count. The somewhat big and thriving community that EE had is what I believe most of the magic of the game came from.
