Mafia 24 [Crybaby wins]

Welcome to Mafia 24.

Rules
1. All forum rules apply, however multi-posting rules are more lenient. So long as your posts are relevant to the game it shouldn't be an issue.
2. Do not post in this thread unless you are alive in the game. All posts made by dead players and people not in the game will be deleted.
3. You may not edit or delete your posts. This function will be disabled in this game.
4. If you stay inactive too long or not contributing to discussion , you will be prodded for inactivity and replaced if you don't respond to the prod within 24 hours.
5. Do not quote, copy paste, or screenshot any message sent by the game moderator for any reason. Paraphrasing is allowed, such as saying what your role is or does, but don't copy paste an entire role pm word for word.
6. Do not gamethrow. Gamethrowing is defined as actively working against your role/faction's win condition, and is dealt with on a case by case basis.
7. As soon as a majority is reached, it counts as the day being over. The moderator may not be there to lock the thread immediately so do not post after majority is reached.
8. You may not talk about the game with living players through any means other than the game thread and Mafia night chat. No exceptions.
9. Remember that this is just a game. If I see any form of harassment that may warrant a replacement or modkill.
10. If any player breaks any of these rules please private message me on the forums and I will deal with it. Do not use the forums report feature to report someone breaking one of the game rules unless they are also breaking a forum rule.
11. The moderator's word is final. If I say not to do something it means don't do it. If you have an issue then it's best to save until the end of the game as to not interfere with the game.

i mean ngl i would've expected peace to say something to indicate he's not town by now so i think we should hold off, and anatoly isn't playing anymore and i don't really wanna hold zumza to it since anatoly's breakdown seemed to be completely unrelated to the game

rereading through the thread, i really can't find a reason a doc would protect peace tbh, unless it was just a random N1 action

other than that I don't really have an opinion on a vote yet. Maxi got into a fake argument with norboy D1, then voted (and unvoted) but greenymix and anatoly, both of which are no longer in game. I'm leaning towards a norboy vote but i'm very unsure for now

i was considering whether or not to pick the norboy post apart in my vote for him but i thought it was kinda self explanatory why it was dumb, but i guess i can repeat it here just for clarity

You know... i don’t buy Mutantdevle’s claim for a second. He could very be the role cop. How very convenient that would be for him.

"how very convenient that would be for him" i literally don't know what this freaking means... sure there's the possibility that he's lying and magically guessed my role and found the perfect way to disguise it... or the more likely explanation is that he's just the cop and his previous actions were defined by that??

He can "investigate" those who want to prove to their lord and saviour Mutantdevle that they are townies so they can join his exclusive "townie club". Not to mention that he literally demands the doctor to protect him EACH night. Wouldn’t that be very handy? The doctor could potentially be protecting a mafia member each night...

If we have a confirmed cop, no **** we want to protect him every night. Now that the vig is dead, he's pretty much our most important power role, unless the seer gets confirmed as well

while the mafia group get’s stronger and can use the time given by the ruse to identify one of their biggest threats, the serial killer.

I was in fact, working on your humongous reply. But i couldn’t ignore this. Why would you investigate Kirby if you were really a cop? I believe you are attempting some very dirty tactics. You’re definitely my prime suspect now.

It's N1, who is he supposed to investigate? I think it's fair considering I was part of the faction that screwed his faction over last game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Also (damn double post again), why would you reveal your power role so early in the game? That’s just dumb.

I really am going to need an explanation to how that's dumb. Revealing a power role like this just allows us to get actual confirmation on who is and isn't scummy. With this sentence now i don't know if you're scummy or just bad at mafia, but i'm keeping my vote regardless.

...no? i'm the only person who can 100% confirm mutantdevle's claim, and since his read was correct i didn't really have reason to distrust him, so as far as i'm concerned anyone who tries to lynch him at this point is either completely misguided or scummy.

I don't understand your post. I can confirm his claim is genuine by knowing that his read is genuine, since I obviously know my own role lol.

he could've either

a) chose cop, and picked a random player to read and hope they are town (this would be a stupid move, and the real cop likely would've spoken up by now tbh)

or b) be telling the truth. i really don't see any other alternatives tbh

nah, disregard my post. sorry about that anatoly - i saw you screenshot a quickchat and instantly assumed it was the maf chat. realized i was being dumb immediately but couldn't delete the post.

Are all of the roles used in this game? because if so, and if people legitimately suspect mutant is lying (i didn't consider how good those odds were tbh onjit) then the real cop should speak up maybe?

note that i still do trust mutant's claim because it would be too risky of a lie imo but i feel like you guys (norboy and luka) are distrusting it for reasons that are completely unrelated (i still don't even know what "it's too convenient" even means)

Why on earth would that be necessary? Some conclusions can be made by simple logic alone. And there's no guarantee there's even a regular cop. Maybe there's a seer, maybe there's nothing.

peace let me get this straight

your reasons for lynching mutant are

1) he makes long posts
2) if he is cop, doctor would have to protect him, so might as well lynch him now to save the doctor the effort
3) if the doctor magically knew who the seer is, he would have to choose between the cop and the seer, so its better to just intentionally lynch a town now so the doctor doesnt have to hypothetically make that choice in the future

Kirby I have an important question, do you think Luka is mafia or the SK?

I'll be honest, I don't know. A general hunch says maybe SK, but don't read too much into that because it's just a hunch. Nonetheless, regardless of what kind of scum he is, disagreeing with your claim so strongly really makes me suspicious. If norboy disagreed with your claim out of paranoia then that's fair I suppose, but Luka is more experienced at mafia so I would like him to respond to the last few pages.

For the record, a lot of my lynches in maf are pretty much "i'm suspicious so please explain yourself and i'll unvote". I'm not 100% sure luka is scum, but I'm gonna need some more posts to change my mind
