Do you think I could just leave this part blank and it'd be okay? We're just going to replace the whole thing with a header image anyway, right?

This is based off of two things: a suggestion from AzurePudding in my Vanish Door topic, and the crumble block from PR2. The Shatter Door is a door that opens after you touch it a certain number of times. It reappears after the timer has counted down. When placing the block, there should be a setting to adjust how many times you must touch it before it "shatters", and the time it takes for it to reappear.
There are two variables to give this block. A number that represents how many times a player must touch the door (from any side) to make it disappear, and an interval for which it takes to reappear.

I yhink both vsariables should be visible in-game. I also think that an anti-shatter dor would be nice. (A shater gate doesn't make sense)

That's why there are numbers on the graphics. The number on the closed door is how many hits required. The number on the open door is how long for it to reappear.

...what?
If you're talking about the opened Shatter Door in the image I posted, it's not a gate, just the door being actually opened.

This would be great for gameplay variation. It could be used for puzzles and challenges. We need more of this kind of content in updates rather than just new graphics and campaigns.

No it's an extra sugestion. What I mean is a version of the shatter door that regularly opens, but closes after X touches and reopens after X seconds. This will be a great edition to machines, as open/close after X times is much simpler and no longer require switches.

You can't touch something that isn't there :/

I mean the times the player has a part of it in the block

Does the door repair itself after x seconds like you have to break it 5 times but if you don't touch it 5 times in x time it goes back to 5? And is it global or only for 1 person?

I think it could be both. A global one makes a co-op where eberyone is in one room more co-op ish. Private one allows for like, stopingyou from ruining other people and stopping other people frkom ruining you.

The original intention with this suggestion is that, no, the door doesn't repair itself, and it would be global. However, a non-global version of this wouldn't be half bad of an idea. Also, having a repair property probably wouldn't be that bad of an idea. If you want to go down that route, just add a third variable that decides how many seconds it takes to heal 1 point.
