Filter for NPC -> Every Smiley as NPC

1) Copy a 10x10 fragment of the smiley at a fixed position, and add a constant background to all smileys under this 10x10 smiley. Done.

They look terrible, to be honest.

Plus, the advantage of self-making them is that you can add custom animations.

This topic is falling apart quickly.

Particularly towards the right side of the smileys you posted things start going downhill, as certain features of those smileys get cut off. Santa NPC looks like his hat is tattooed on his head, shades looks like he's wearing a flexible plastic, the kind you get at an eye doctor after you had your pupils dilated. Where's the devil's horns?

It's the base design, you can modify it if your not happy.

What if, in Everybody Edits Universe we used the current smileys' faces as the bases for NPCs, since blocks will be larger?

I'd assume they'd just scale the NPCs up / remake them with more detail but your idea is certainly an interesting one and something they could work with.
